    Plastic bottles that are safe to reuse are labeled 2, 4, 5, and 7 (#7 must also say PLA or have a leaf symbol) on the bottom of the bottle in the recycling triangle. Plastics numbered 1, 3, and 6 are one time use only, as the plastics will leech into the water (and must be kept out of the heat and sun). Just thought you'd want to know. Love your videos! 😊

    That would make accessing your water alot easier than trying to reach behind you and dropping the water bottle and cracking it to where it leaks.

    Hydration bladders are so gross!! We once traveled with them all the way to the Yushan trailhead in Taiwan only to realize that both of our bladders had somehow grown mold along the trip. We ended up having to use disposable water bottles with no hose for the entire hike. Nice that some alternatives are becoming available. Thanks for another informative video!

    Since water bottles are less flexible and dont collapse like a water bag, how do you deal with vacuum and pressure? Looks like you'd be sucking and blowing more than i care to😅

      I have same question... I would expect some ventil integrated into cap.

    I wonder if i can find an adapter to use this on a nalgene, that would be awesome

      Hi, there is an adapter for Nalgene bottle, too, look for Source Convertube Snep :)

    Pretty cool, but I have a hard time getting behind integrating disposable bottles to save an oz or 2 of weight.

      For me it's the fact those bottles wont leak and they work with a Sawyer mini and I can flavour my water in those bottles. All things you cant do with a bladder

    • @david_onthetrail
      @david_onthetrail Před rokem

      @@IdRatherBeHiking I add the flavor to my bladder to hide the horrible taste of the bladder. seems silly.

      @@david_onthetrail how do you clean it after? I tried that once and it tasted like stinky orange for so long despite how much vinegar and scrubbing I did

    • @david_onthetrail
      @david_onthetrail Před rokem

      @@IdRatherBeHiking I rinse it out right away when i'm home. Only use my bladder for mountain biking, never orange flavor.

    Sheesh. My camelbak has never leaked and using denture cleaning tablets cleans it perfectly. Don't see what the fuss is bout. Other than marketing.
