Big Steve Forbert fan. Love this cover!
I've follow her Mom and Dad's music since the 60's and Bekka carries the tradition on, the history in that family was truly what music is all about.. Oh and John does an incredible job, always a consumate musician..
Amazing cover
Sensational! They sound great together--who knew John turned out like that? And I've always loved the Bramlett sound--whether it came out of Bonnie or Bekka! Release this as a single--if there is any such thing anymore. You have just heard from a former rock critic.
Love Bekka Bramlett - wish she'd put out an album; I'll be first in line!
Love this song
Love this song too 💗💗💗💗❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💜💜💜
This is really great! Didn't know about it until I went to see Daryl Hall & John Oates last night and this was shown beforehand.
😎
I Blinked Once.............
Childhood often seemed a pain to me
So hard waiting to be grown
Childhood climbed up in a white oak tree
I blinked once and it was gone
Airplane flying across the midnight sky
His tiny lights blinked off and on
I watched him move across the moon on high, well
I blinked once and it was gone
Gone, gone, yeah
I blinked once and it was gone
A girl I'd met was all I cared for, friends
I called her my very own
We went down to hear the band begin
I blinked once and she was gone
Gone, gone, yeah
I blinked once and she was gone
Hey
[Instrumental Bridge]
I won big money on the gambling wheel
And I thought I’s sitting on a throne
Big John told me ‘bout his condo deal
I blinked once and it was gone
The nineteen seventies was ten long years
Was ten long years to sing a song
It kicked off madly with a New Year's cheer
I blinked once and it was gone, that’s right
It’s gone, gone
I blinked once and it was gone
Now old man's talking bout a gun he'd shot
And he weren't much more than skin and bone
Lying there breathing on this worn out cot
I blinked once and he was gone
He was gone, gone, yeah
I blinked once and he was gone, gone
I blinked once and he was gone, GONE, gone, yeah
I blinked once and he was gone
[Long Instrumental Outro]
Hey

Here's the original version from Steve Forbert: czcams.com/video/ok8TjUU1ml8/video.html John Oates & Bekka do a fantastic rendition of it. If you are not familiar with Steve Forbert, you would do well to check out his music, he has written a lot of incredible music.
Her Mama's baby ....
Sounds awesome, but you need Steve Forbert joining in with harmonica
Your voice is nice isn't it ?
It's a great song but I can't like this version...the original is such a meloncholy number it's not up tempo like this. I think they just misread the song and what it's about.
Good point. Listen the original: czcams.com/video/ok8TjUU1ml8/video.html
@@CatherineSTodd Thank you
Bad cover of a good song.
