The prices are sky high, and the quality is trench-low. In fact, the Chicken Bacon Muffin in New Zealand doesn't cost $7.30 ($8.00 NZD), it costs &7.55 ($8.30 NZD)! Even more of a rip off! That's 30 cents less than a Big Mac ($8.60 NZD -> $7.85 AUD), and you get less than 30% OF a Big Mac.
If you guys want a burger, go to a local burger bar. Keep them open, and do NOT support this disgusting corporate behaviour.

It's literally the exact same stock standard chicken patty from the McChicken. They changed the bun and swapped around some sauce and pretend like it's amazing. Maccas Australia is the epitome of lazy
That's absolutely insane. Here in Canada where fast food prices have skyrocketed in recent years, it's $3.59, which is only about $4 AUD. Still not cheap for 150 grams, but much better. You can even get it with a coffee and hash brown here for cheaper than you paid for just the sandwich.
Fast food joints are supposed to be fast and affordable. Most are never fast and affordable and has gone the way of the dodo. Thankfully there are heaps of decent fish and chip shops making awesome burgers at way better value than the chains.

Ive boycotted McDonald's since 2012, when they released the lamb burger i was pumped and primed for it, thought it would be a game changer, drove through bella vista maccas (Sydney now closed) McDonald's and ordered my hamburger meal with nuggets, left drive-through and entered the motorway nearby (m7/m2) towards Sydney CBD, smashed my nuggets and moved onto the burger, opened the box to only find two buns, lettuce and a piece of beetroot and that was it😡, threw the burger onto the motorway and said to myself that's the last time I go to McDonald's, almost 13 years ago💪

I can remember when a Chicken and Cheese burger (which consists of a McChicken patty, cheese and mayonnaise) on its own cost $3.00. Now, the same burger costs $5.60.
So virtually, this the exact same burger, except it is served on a McMuffin burger bun, with a slice of bacon. And McDonalds charge $7.30 for it. 🤦♂️

I went to Germany once and saw a bunch of people working at a Macdonald’s there, and just felt so guilty for brining that type work to places that really shouldn’t have it. I think it's been about 40 years since I've eaten at McDonald's. I was in my 20's and I used to like the Filet O Fish sandwich. I'm 63 now. 🍔 Sacramento, California USA 🇺🇸

The most expensive thing would be the chicken. Go to the supermarket, try some different brands and find some frozen chicken tenders or patties that don't taste horrible(maybe just add some extra seasoning if they're a little bland), line the little tray for the toaster oven with foil and put them in with a bacon strip folded on top(the grease will drip over the chicken so it's not so dry). Buy a brick of real cheddar, english muffins are cheap AF, and everyone has mayo. For about $5-6 and however long the chicken takes to cook, plus time to toast the english muffins, you could make 3 superior versions of this thing at home for less money.

I stopped McDonald’s when I got my son a Big Mac meal and myself one cheeseburger alsmot 18 dollars. I told my son no more.
Only time i ever get maccas is deals on the app $7 for a cheeseburger meal with an extra cheeseburger. I take both the bottom buns off and join them to make a super double cheeseburger. Also order no salt on chips so you actually get them hot and have chicken salt or nandos peri peri salt in your car to have your own better shaker fries. You're welcome.
