In season 1 end when thawne explains time travel to Barry why does he say that he can save his mother and come back to his original timeline? When he knows that the timeline would cease to exist?

When the current flash tried saving his mother he did not change the timeline he tried changing it back to og timeline (which he doesn't know now ) but he created flashpoint here which is different from even the OG timeline when he allowed RF to kill again he created new timeline (So a total of 4 timelines OG Timeline ,Dead parents timeline , OG branched timeline,and dead parents branched timeline ) so in the end he fixes the timeline once and for all by making Nora allens death as a fixed point thats him letting her die in Season 9 you could see him try to talk to RF but fails but the end he fixed the timeline .
and the DCU Director had the nerve to say his acting wasn't good enough for a movie, imagine if Grant Gustin had a Flash movie budget and a more serious story compared to the childish shit The CW gave us for 10yrs.
