FLY UK 2018 with SD-1 Minisport /part1

FLY UK is trip around the UK flown with microlights in one week.
Every year register over 90 microlights and around 50 of them fly whole route around the UK.
It is not only adventure and fun. Pilots and other participants including airfield operators and owners fundraising money for charity.
Fly-UK started its charity fundraising in 2005 at the request of Adrian Battersby, one of the pilots.
In that first year it helped him to collect £2,500 in support of the Children with Leukaemia charity.
Pilots note where and how many times landed and almost all landing fee and entry fee are donated to charity.
The route usually starts ‘somewhere in the midlands’, then across the UK and finish at Sandown at Isle of Wight.
The Charity has changed its name to Children with Cancer and this year the pilots are again taking up the challenge to collect another substantial sum to help the youngsters.
By the end of 2018 FLY UK has collected an aggregate of well over £68,000.
