John 5 is a rocker, but he will tell you his roots and influences go back to when he was young, and from watching Hee Haw. He is one hell of a country picker as well. He can play any style. If you are not strictly a metal head, check out his chicken picken clips as well. So versatile!!!

Love seeing John smile. Saw him the first time back in '94 with Red Square Black. Phenomenal. Saw him years later with Manson and he looks much happier now! So Awesome.
John is great but mick was the soul of motley....
No question about it, John 5 is amazing, but Mick is the unsung hero of Motley Crue.
Mick has some of the nastiest, grittiest riffs in rock.

John 5 is a awesome guitarist And I love his style and he can pretty much play anything, On the other hand Mick is one of a kind And he has his own way his own style that no one can copy

Considering the more percussive riffs he has to play for Zombie and Manson (which still make some awesome tunes) I think it's cool for him to let loose and show people who might not know... that he's one of the greatest guitarists on the globe. John 5 is so great. I thought the era of the new guitar hero was over but apparently not. That white head-stock and finger-board is very cool, too. I think Motley were pretty lucky to get this guy. He was a star in his own right, without them.
To say that John 5 has more talent than the rest of that band combined is the understatement of the year lol.

I agree, and will add, that I can't do it with present day Vince Neil. They should have stayed retired, because in my opinion, they're destroying their legacy, continuing to play as Motley Crue. Micks sound, tone and style is what made MC what they were.

Well the humbuckers help. I was, "how does he make those sounds from a Telecaster? Oh...." Still, a fantastic player.
Vince looks pretty good. Very spry. Love the auto-tune too. That always sounds so natural.
John 5 adds a touch of goth along with some truly amazing guitar. He has what it takes to be in Mötley Crüe. He's taking them in a new direction. Keep it going guys, and stay unfuckingretired! Cheers!

I like Motley Crue, have for almost 40 years, I remember getting shout at the devil from my bro on cassette! Love Mick, my favorite member for sure, love em all, but Mick is my fav and I like John 5, been watching him on CZcams a bit now and he seems pretty down to earth. Good pick guys!

I hate solos at a show... absolutely HATE them. But John 5 IS a show. I saw him at a Zombie/Manson show a few years ago. The guy is amazing. I could watch him all day long
You should catch him as a “solo” act. I’ve seen him twice and got a pick both times and even him taking my phone to record while he was playing. I saw him before the show and got a photo and we both got covid from the Sacramento show. 😂

Who better to step in for Mick than John 5?! You really can’t compare the two because they’re totally different guitar players. 5 is pretty insane though. I’ve seen him 3 times on his solo tours and as a lifelong guitar player, I was floored.
