The fact that John5 has shared the stage with David Lee Roth, KD Lang, Marylin Manson, Rob Zombie, and the now Crue really speaks to his musicianship. I've been a fan of J5 since his Manson days, and seeing him always having a blast when performing always makes me root for him.

I've been following him for years on social media, and he's definitely a "fan's guitarist", you just can't help but root for the guy. He practices nonstop, and he seems like a genuinely pleasant person who is thankful for the opportunities he's been given. Seeing him move up and get these higher profile gigs makes me happy for him, kind of feels like seeing someone I've "known" and rooted for, getting the breaks they've working their whole lives for. Come a long way from getting kicked by Manson in a Mickey outfit.

Mick Mars definitely was the soul to Crue, and it’s obvious now. They shouldn’t have said shit to Mick about “forgetting parts” while Vince sings songs in toddler language.

Massive respect to Mr 5, he's looks like he's having a lot of fun, and he's just keeping the playing simple, like the source material - no showboating. Vince though... he's gonna have to start paying the audience as they sing more of the songs than he does.

God this makes me so elated for John5, he truly is the peoples guitarist. A real professional who loves what he does. I mean he is easily one of the "best" technical players in the world, he's up there for sure. Hope he's getting paid well, he sure deserves it man.

Vince had one of the most iconic rock voices of all time however there comes a time for every cowboy to hang up his spurs and unfortunately for Vince (and Motley’s fans) that time has come and gone.
This is on Tommy and Nikki. They won't do the right thing and get the band in top shape. There are in top shape...but the other two do not fit the Motley Crue brand.

Exactly, John 5 can play complex solos and he knows a lot of great techniques, but that's the thing about Mick Mars..his playing is unique. The way he plays guitar makes ordinary simple stuff sound dynamic and twice as difficult to play. Mick's solos moved me and inspired me to play guitar. Great guitar player ⚡🤘⚡

He plays notes that sound wrong for a millisecond but shortly after made perfect sense. When I heard the Feelgood solo the first time I remember being confused by that double slide he does in the middle. Nobody in the 80s would do that in this way.

Listening to Mick doing this live, then listening to this, back & forth. This just doesn’t quite cut it and at first I thought it was John 5. It wasn’t. Now I think it’s Vince. Oh God I want so badly to love this cuz it’s my favorite Mötley Crüe song. Maybe it’s the recording. Tommy & Nikki sound so great.

It's hilarious that Vince sounds like that, but they fired Mick for "sloppy playing." Even if Mick was messing up here and there, at least he was actually playing, unlike Nikki. And no hate for John 5. I love him and he's a phenomenal player, but the rest of the band is a joke. It's sad. Mötley Crüe was a huge influence on me becoming a musician and they made some of my favorite albums of all time... but those days are long gone.

Just like that interview with Mick years ago, he says "While EVERYONE (that played guitar 🎸) was ALL ate up with SPEED and the like, I however was on a completely different path and that WAS and STILL IS...TONE....TONE"...and he gave off that creepy "The Emperor from STAR WARS grin" afterwards that, pretty much says it ALL 😏. I disagree about the sound. John's tone is too thin. Mick's sounded deeper and full. Maybe the Tele? I've never much cared for them outside of country

Listening to Mick doing this live, then listening to this, back & forth. This just doesn’t quite cut it and at first I thought it was John 5. It wasn’t. Now I think it’s Vince. Oh God I want so badly to love this cuz it’s my favorite Mötley Crüe song. Maybe it’s the recording. Tommy & Nikki sound so great.

As a long time Crue fan i have never been so pissed at what I'm hearing. How Vince is allowed to get up there and derliver this rot is beyond me. A fucking laughing stock. I think it was Nikki that said Mick couldn't play anymore so we replaced him then why is Vince still there? I love Vince but he's dragging em down.

Even if Mick was messing up here and there, at least he was actually playing, unlike Nikki.
And no hate for John 5. I love him and he's a phenomenal player, but the rest of the band is a joke. It's sad. Mötley Crüe was a huge influence on me becoming a musician and they made some of my favorite albums of all time... but those days are long gone.

We must commend Vince. The dedication it takes to pre-record such horrible vocals and then bring them to life with precisely choreographed fat boy wobbling on stage...simply remarkable. Now that's a committed artist.

Johnny 5 is a great guitar player but it just not the same band. Been listening to the cruel sence they first came out. There was something special about the band in the 80s. Thinking Jonny will help the band grow in new ways.
