    Check out this rad Ford Chinook Camper Van Build! This isn't the first time we've seen this build at the the shop, but it is the first time seeing the build after John the owner changed the entire look! He painted it an awesome grey-ish with a hint of brown-ish, I don't know it's just awesome! He also totally transformed the inside into what looks like a modern day home! This van features one of our old custom front bumpers as well as our Baja Grocery Getter Lift Kit! Be sure to leave a like and SUBSCRIBE for more content!

      That Chinook is pretty cool looking. Wish you would highlight more of the camper in the video and speak in the background. Otherwise awesome work you guys do, will be bringing my BT Cruiser to you guys for suspension and front/rear bumpers upgrades next summer (2022). Thank you.

      @@banyarydym agreed. Most of these videos are focused on him, and he talks very loudly.

    Some places REQUIRE 4x4 to access the locations, such as beach driving.

    If I had a rig of this caliber, I would have spent the extra 10k for the 4wd for the piece of mind.
    Now I need to look for a PleasureWay or something similar in a Chevy platform to convert to a 4wd

      You heard it from the owner about it not being worth the extra $$$ .

    • @adamw5823
      @adamw5823 Před 4 lety +3

      Weldtec Designs I understand that. It might not be worth it for the owner to spend the extra money.
      Honestly, I would much rather have it it not need it than need it and not have it. Just my 2 cents.

    Did I miss whether you are going to redo those rear springs for the heavier vehicle weight?

      That's what we've suggested, however due to time constraints of their trip, it's going to have to wait until next time there in town.

    I would highly suggest they rethink their South American trip it's not safe down there especially a couple of white people driving a nice RV they may never be seen again. A couple of British motorcycle adventure guys disappeared between Mexico City and Costa Rica not that long ago

      Don't be afraid. There are 100's of reasons to avoid doing anything . I know way too many Americans that travel on long trips to mexico and on to south america including myself

      @Justice9111 Do you live with your head in the sand? Are you not aware of? What's going on in South America? In 2019. 8 Americans were killed in a highway Ambush 100 miles south of Texas South America itself has over 400 murders a day. It's not a safe place for Americans to be driving around. In an RV that's nicer than 90% of the homes. You're a Target and you have no way to protect yourself.

      @greggarrot8132 Před 4 lety +2

      @Justice9111 I've spent more time in Mexico than most people ever well And a few places in South America. I can tell you overtime. It has drastically changed. And I would never go To the places I've been 20 years ago. I don't know how you're going to protect yourself down there you're not allowed to have weapons of any kind

    I’m just not a fan of 2WD lift kits. Lifted 2WD trucks, vans, and SUVS are just useless and stupid. If you are going to lift it get a 4x4 or convert it to 4x4 not a full time AWD system. 2WD and full time AWD is better off left stock or lowered.
