If you follow Richard closely, you will see that he exaggerates certain movements to show the burst that he feels that HLP provides. That’s not an easy feel to demonstrate. There are plenty of good hitting coaches across the world that can’t demo perfectly certain things they teach. The best athletes do not always make the best coaches. But when it comes to Richard, people lose their Fricking minds.
I love the stretch. Everything looks great. I can not disagree because it is the right way. But his teaching is not the best. You cant just propeller the bat and use all wrist to describe the swing because that is NOT whats happening teacherman. There is slight slack. Althought yes, wrist movement is important and should have focus. The pepper grinder is not everything
He talked of the rear leg in this video. It’s a clip about the hand pivot so the leg is not in detail. But if you don’t understand the role of the rear leg as it pertains to his philosophy. Then the hand pivot won’t apply the same.
@@idaho5k736 i understand the rear leg. Which i do not disagree with. I also agree with the snap. I agree with all of it. But there is also some slack. You cant just be everything from the rear. There has to be SOME push. Bonds judge everyone would agree with me.
@@redbrrdz7423 why does their have to be slack? Why push? What makes you say that? The soft front leg can absorb the energy to allow for more adjustability so don’t have to push. You don’t have to push thru anything. Most of the big league hitter surviving today do not push the barrel.
@@VicInNocal Not what they said. You adjust the tilt of your shoulders to stay on plane with the pitch you're getting. Every good hitter does this. Hell even a lot of mediocre hitters will at least do this much.
Bro he is in his 60s and not a player but a coach. I would like to see you hit anything over 85mph then you can talk. The dudes who actually learn from him in the league are the best hitters. There’s no argument to be made about that.
Chipper would not approve!!!
Positive results determine if your doing something right . If your getting good results keep doing it .
Honestly teacherman I was playing golf this morning and everything clicked! Thanks for opening my eyes when it comes to the swing. You were right
If a golf swing can turn me into even 25 percent of judge I'll take it.
Watch Judge swing the bat in slow motion. He does not do this. He swings down and levels out through the zone.
This video does a better job of explaining
Teacherman is always staring into outfield and falling over at contact. Not a single MLB player does that, include Aaron Judge.
If he finished the swing he wouldn’t have fallen over
He's also like 60+ and out of shape lol
@vincent763 he has a point tho. Notice he "imitates the greats" but his method you cannot keep both hands on the bat like the greats do
Bonds always does this, and that seems to be Teacherman's main model.

Mechanics are extremely important but not an origin.

@@idaho5k736 theres more to it. Theres a reason why he does not help pro teams. They dont need him. Im not saying hes wrong.

This is the weirdest shit on CZcams.
All or nothing swing
What else should it be?
@@flaquis2729 You know what.
Surprised that Kerry Carpenter, Aaron Judge, Rizzo, Bader and Happ had all attended his session and people on the internet still calls it bs😂
Watch all of them and none of them do this lol
@@dankmoonman6298they all use elements of it and these examples aren't the actual swing their the over exaggeration of the snap and turn
Well Rizzo can’t hit anymore.. so if he gets credit for judges success, does he also get credit for Rizzo?
and it's a swing and a miss!
Ok but if you do that vertical circle it won’t hit the high pitch. Only the horizontal snap
Posture adjustment changes the angle of the barrel turn
@@pennywrong Oh, so in the middle of a pitch ur going to stand straight up and snap your hands horizontally huh? Lol
So you think hitters adjust to up/down pitch locations by either dropping their arms or holding them up? Lol

How do you create more backspin?
It’s in the swing he’s teaching, look where the bat starts and then ends up, that motion gets underneath baseballs naturally
119 World Series Dbacks vs Rangers
🐑 its just a coincidence 😅
Bullssshittt notice he cant hit a pitch
Aaron judge hit 63 bombs using this method stop the bs dude 😂

This episode kicked ass!
That really reminds me of Barry Bonds. He did something very similar with the bat.
This is the worst
