I haven’t stepped foot in a barbershop since I was probably 16-17 years old. I used to be in them every week. I started cutting my hair around that time as a hobby and as a way to save some money. Fast forward 10 years - I’m 28 now and it suddenly dawned on me one day that I can’t see myself happy doing anything else. Starting barber school in a month and have never felt happier and more excited for something. Love your videos man. Thanks for the inspiration.

I feel you. I just started barber school a month ago, was using the wahl color pros with no trimmers. Got the wahl seniors, T outliners from school and i saw big improvements. Made me glad I started out with trash clippers.
Before going to barber school, is it best to cut other people’s hair like friends/family ect. I’m currently 17 and I’m interested in barbering but have no knowledge about it so I’m thinking of doing a course at college.

Just came across this video. This Christmas (2019) instead of giving my son more gadgets I hand him clippers. He has played around with trimmer on his head so I upgraded him and said AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THIS CLIPPERS U WILL HAVE MONEY!!

Great video man, my brother in law is a barber and he loves every minute of it. I personally wanna try my hand at it but I have no experience and don't know where to start, do you recommend barber school? Or maybe shadowing in a local shop?
I currently haven't done either. I plan on it right after I graduate. But the only thing I advise is starting. lol. Sounds simple, but too many times I get stuck in this thoughtful state and forget to just start. Start somewhere, and learn as you go, because that's the best way to learn.
I used to cut hair back in the 90s when I was back in high school. Right now , Im 41 years old. When I cut my sons hair and several friends of mine.They told me to cut hair professionally. I didn't think about it at first. I start to think I want to become a barber. My question where to start being a license barber.? Now, I'm a xray tech now as a full time job in the hospital. You understand me. Where to start my career as a professional barber?

Major in Gen.Psychology, and yea I plan on going to barber school right after college, so nah I don't have a license as yet.
I started off as just cutting my own hair to save money. After the first 4 cuts on myself I became really good. Started cutting my brother and cousins hair, I did good and throughout of cutting hair for often I became better and better. I'm only 18 years old too so this might be a profession I want to proceed.
