- Après le succès international de The Seasons’ Canon en 2016, la chorégraphe canadienne Crystal Pite est de retour au Palais Garnier pour une nouvelle création. Une quarantaine de danseurs sont réunis sur scène, guidés par la voix de Marina Hands, dont les indications scéniques se traduisent en autant de mouvements chorégraphiques. Dans une alternance d’ensembles et de duos, Crystal Pite sonde à nouveau le thème de l’individualité et interroge le lieu même de la performance, théâtre chargé d’histoire et de possibilités.

I saw this at the Palais Garnier on their second show, it was the most gorgeous dance piece I have ever seen, very different from other modern dance companies. I will now look for Crystal Pite for any future dance shows, it was beyond amazing in a way that words cannot even describe it.
She is awesome - I have seen many of her pieces and always impressed ! Brining ballet into the 21st century !
My deepest wish is to be able to work with her one day. She is such an inspiring person and so genuine and complex it’s amazing.
J'ai adoré Body and Soul et son dernier acte tellement stupéfiant. Une inventivité qui donne envie de suivre cette chorégraphe, Crystal Pite, surtout quand c'est dansé par une troupe aussi parfaite que l'Opéra de Paris.

Bravo pour les nouvelles créations de Ballet de l'opéra de Paris, au niveau de la danse. Ces expressions du corps sont puissantes, et renouvellent un Art qui doit être le reflet de celui-ci dans la vie quotidienne ou autre. J'aime cette richesse des mouvements.
Nicole Courtois : cet Art a été renouvelé en 1965 par Maurice Bejart , si vous révisionnez " Le Sacre du Printemps ( 1965 ) vous retrouverez de multiples segments de coreo de Maurice Bejart , également " Sonate à trois " si l'oiseau de Feu est un classique sans que aucun interprète actuel puisse le danser il en est tt autres de pas mal de coreos Bejart la référence étant " Le Sacre du Printemps " en regardant Pite les gens oublient ou ignorent les coreos de Bejart
Le conflit puis le lien..(de même au théâtre...) le duo entre soi l'autre..💙 ~~°

I saw it only streaming but it was already mind-blowing! I can't even imagine how it would have been experiencing it live! The advantage of the streaming link though is that I watched it 2 nights in a row ;)
I'm a huge fan of Crystal's work. I don't think I've ever been disappointed by any of her work, even if I have my preferences. The first dance show I saw when I arrived in Canada 10 years ago was the National Ballet of Canada performing in Vancouver, and one of the pieces was Emergence from Crystal. She blew me away that very first time and never stopped since then. In the last few years, Bettrofenheit, Revisor or Body and Soul were some of the best shows I've seen in my life.

I've seen several Crystal Pite shows over the years. She's a genius of contemporary dance choreography. Leaves her peers far behind. This show must have been a huge upgrade over the garbage that normally litters the stages of Paris.

moi , " Le Sacre du Printemps " de Maurice Bejart est oublié et pourtant génial ! nous sommes très proche de Bejart avec Pite alors pourquoi " Sonate à trois " Webern op 5 " Le Sacre du Printemps " etc sont délaissés ? c'est pas du neuf Pite mais une mauvaise copie une adaptation de Bejart si on disseque ses coreos de pres on retrouve des touches Bejartiennes en fait
