We often use to Load bank 56's with roof / silencers off at IMM , you could really hear them turbos scream , first one we load banked at IMM it caught fire , sucked all exhaust sparks into electrical compartment filters and set fire to them You knew the power before taking readings as soon as them turbos screamed , they were pig to work on though
My lords what a sound 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Sat in my armchair trying not to flail my arm about!

Would have loved to have seen and heard 47601 sound like this!
Now 56091 is working for dc rail freight
My ears are in their happy place.
Good old class 40 16svt souped up more than a little 👍
Your video was so engaging! Would it be alright if I include a (37685 first start since Jan 2005) on my channel? I promise to credit you prominently.
WOW
that sounds more like a jet engine than a diesel engine.
Does 91 have Napier or BB turbos?
BB. Only 56105 has Napier.
@@railfreightdrivergallagherGBRf I believe you may be mistaken.
@@peebee143 I'm not & It has, as fitted by EWS. The only one so fitted and they are actually oversized making the loco more powerful.
@@railfreightdrivergallagherGBRf Pretty sure we retro-fitted at least one other under Colas Rail, was several years ago but well after EWS ownership.
@@peebee143 Was still fitted late last year. May have changed since but Boden Rail Nottingham would have done the job on it.
Is it a plane in disguise
a jet engine
