I recently ordered a product which was priced $38 and shipped via EMS ( China Post & India Post ) . I was charged custom duty of ₹788 even though the invoice price on product was only $18 , which is 56% of invoice price .
I think custom officers work according to their own choices and rules they carelessly put any % of duty on any product even if it's value is very less .
