    Need more youtubers like Jason. Great tutorials and honest reviews. Not like so many sellouts pushing sponsored rubbish.

    Great video! I wouldn't mind adding more transducers to my own rig. I only have one under my seat which I use mostly for transmission, engine and road feedback. As you said this muddies up wheel traction so I find engine feedback is best just for immersion especially if you're showing it to a friend. The feeling of the engine idling when they jump in blows their mind 😆

    • @JasonStorm
      @JasonStorm  Před rokem +1

      Yeah, I would like to get a separate one that goes under the seat or something to do the engine noise and kerbs, etc so I can still have that but should help separate the different effects

    Thank you for this. I've watched a few videos on bass shakers now and found yours particularly helpful.

    Well done my man. Love seeing that some people can actually do simple things and do them well!

    Great video! Curious, with the two bass shakers so close together under the pedal plate, do you feel the left and right vibrations isolated accurately or are they muddled up and feel the same? I'm thinking of doing the same, but having the two front bass shakers strapped to the left and right side of my cockpit's tubular frame pillar.

    I just run one BTS1 mounted to the back of my seat. Any more and it was just muddy and seemed like diminishing returns. Im also just using it for immersive effects, RPM, Road textures, jumps, kerbs.... and stuff.
    The best thing was putting the rig on spring isolators so nobody in the living room down below feels like there is a race car idling on the 3rd floor with the shaker turned on.

    Great video. Can you possibly include a link to a photo of how you attached the pucks to the wheel deck please. And ive heard other people attaching pucks directly to pedals... any comment on that option now that you've had these running for a while? Thanks for the vid

    100w per channel on the Fosi exceed the allowed Watts on the shakers tho.
    I tried to run the Nobsound 50wx2 on 24v and it was unstable. There was cut and interruption with the sound. Like evey 10 seconds there was about 5 seconds no sound.
    I found it the most stable at 12v. Not sure what that means or if I have a defective unit. Also, not sure what I am missing as I am running two BST1 units on my rig and it feels good.
    I did not feel a difference between 12v and 24v when it works long enough to test it.

    You can use a tplink wifi power socket to turn off power with voice assistant or an app.

    so, did you mount two dayton bst-2 to the seat AND two bst-2 to the front?
    Given that the sound signal from the monitor has only left and right signals, how does SIMHUB use only that L/R signal and maps whatever is happening to send the signal to the front left, front right, back left, and back right bass shakers?

  • @6vitamin
    @6vitamin Před 3 měsíci

    4:07 isn’t that exactly the pucks’ “full capacity”? 12v at 5amps is 60 watts, ie four 15 watt pucks

    Hi do you know if I can use a multi usb-A in my laptop and run 3 50x2 mini amps through it ?? Or should I use the usb ports direct on the laptop

  • @RobBob555
    @RobBob555 Před rokem +3

    The problem with those nobsound amps is reliability, I bought 2 both faulty 🤷‍♂️ 1 was DOA and 1 died after 30 mins, thats using their power supplies..the psus were ok, the actual amps failed..so using a spare sony 7.1 AV home theater amplifier i had, via HDMI simrig works a treat..well not the latest version because it doesn't work, bit I used an older version after trawling the forums only to see that the latest version of simhub is badly broken..
    Anyway I used Reckhorn transducers, one under the seat, one under my pedal board, im going to get those little daytons for my corners (wheels) as I have 8 channels with the AV amp in simhub.

    Congratulations my friend great video!!! Do you think bst-2s are more than enough? I was undecided whether to take bst-1 but if I take version 2 I can buy 5 to simulate Better

    • @JasonStorm
      @JasonStorm  Před 8 měsíci

      Thanks, I find BST2’s enough for where I have them mounted on the seat but it depends where you mount them, the harder the surface and the further away from you you mount them you’ll need BST 1’s but I found by powering them with the more powerful amp helps the BST2’s a lot

    How loud are the transducers? Would they cause a lot of noise on a 8020?

    • @JasonStorm
      @JasonStorm  Před rokem

      The BST2’s are on my seat and they soak up the sound a bit the ones on my metal pedal plate are a louder but I wouldn’t say they are too loud

    cool video. do the shakers still hold with the double sided tape? thx

    • @JasonStorm
      @JasonStorm  Před rokem

      The pucks do they are light, the BST-2’s are heavy and I had to pull them off and I replaced them with 3M doubled sided tape rather then the generic type I initially put on and the 3M holds much better, they haven’t come off since, recently I did notice 1 starting to come away a little so I just ran some duct tape over it, lol, I wouldn’t suggest just holden them with the duct tape though, it holds well with the 3M doublesided tape, the duct tape just takes a little bit of pressure off the double sided tape, the only other way I could place the BST2’s there is peeling back all the material on the seat and running a small nut and bolt from the other side but I was a little worried the bolt head would wear through the material in the seat because it’s a tight seat with not a lot of padding on the sides

    Is that done on purpose ?

    • @JasonStorm
      @JasonStorm  Před rokem

      Hi, I’ve never used V3 pedals so I don’t know how good the vibration motors are and how configurable they are compared to using the sim hub software, I would imagine the external bass shakers are more powerful and more configurable but as I said I haven’t used the V3’s
