Such a cool episode. Seeing that PJ Tucker only shot 1 shot in that finals game, missed it, Giannis had a 50 ball and PJ STILL had the highest plus minus on the team is just insanity. Underrated for sure
Agreed
pj tucker the type of guy to win a game from simply boxing out and being in the way
PJ talking about his time in Ukraine is amazing.
The NBA Podcast wave is the best thing to happen in sports entertainment.
Keep up the awesome content, we love it!
Dre is absolutely right about Deng. Played 40mins a night averaging 17+pts and played elite defense, he was the unsung hero of those Bulls teams!
🎯🎯🎯
Exactly
Facts!!
Deng is a legend in the uk were we from seriously big love to Dre for mentioning LD from the UK
Always amazes me how all these players have such detailed recall of so many games!
They mlstly watch tape bht the ones who have highest iq like bron they barely forget any significant plays they have had over the years.
@@thandotshabalala5041it's because they lived it. And if you were passionate about your life and work, you would remember a lot too
Bruh Evan Turner is hilarious. Bro had me crying all episode 😂😂
Evan Turner is hilarious and he keep it real.
FEEDBACK: I really enjoyed the candid conversation and how you touched on PJs background, especially him playing overseas and the impact he has on fashion. The one piece of feedback I have was to let PJ answer the question you ask him or let him respond to a comment. There was a lot of times in this interview where Evan would interrupt PJ when it looked like he was going to say something. I love Evan but would really appreciate it if we could hear the guest opinions since people like PJ don't really go on podcasts.
Loved this conversation you guys had. The insight PJ gives on being the 15th guy on the team and going overseas was great. I'm a huge sixers fan. I love the work you guys do!
We need consistent pods because these are great
Every Wednesday we got you
PJ Tucker is a super cool dude.
Good points on many International players, loved the Bogdan Bogdanovic shoutout.
Glad they mentioned legends like Drazen.
Glad to hear Evan FINALLY started to see the light with Joker. It was tough taking him seriously before.
I really liked how PJ Tucker explained in details the differences playing for a European team vs NBA team and also the positive impact his overseas experience had on his mindset and style on and off the court.
Love this podcast. A big fan from France 🇲🇫🇲🇫 👏👏👏 keep up the good work guys!! It's fire 🔥🔥
We appreciate you checking us out 🙌🏾🙌🏾
good epi esp the end where PJ asked Iggy about workout as u got older, insight is key@@pointforward
“40 mins 1 shot” Evan: “I’ll probably never call you back” lmao this guy
PJ giving game!! As a Sixer fan we will DEFINITELY miss him!! One of my favorite players of all time.
Of all the basketball pods, this was my favorite one by far. I find myself easily listening to these Point Forward podcasts. Yall make it feel like I'm apart of the conversation myself, like I am there with yall laughing. Love the content man. Can yall get D Book? Lmao.
Super appreciated
Yo that was hella funny 😂! Thanks for the great insight into the game, the experiences from Europe and all that! All the best to you guys
We appreciate you checking it out
Great pod. Gret convo.
I have watched decemt amount of pj's pods. But these stories are wild.
19:59 Start of the interview btw
Glad you liked it. Appreciate you watching/listening 🙌🏾🙌🏾
timestamps would help the pod fr
Love hearing these stories from Pj Tucker and Pat Bev about their story. They offer so much perspective for any job field. Anything is achievable with hard work and perseverance. Side note.
Best episode yet..
This makes you really think about how valuable a player like PJ/Andre/ET really is. Guys that put team first and want to win no matter what should be paid a hellava lot more
Andre and Evan got good dynamic with interviews. This good background noise to do work etc lol. Funny shxt 😂
This is my first time seeing PJ talk for real but hes really a chill ass dude talk like my family fr 😂. Great podcast
PJ is awesome
Definitely the best episode so far, keep killin
So glad you guys are here to help me through my work day.
No problem 🏀
Loved this episode yall keep killin it! funny as hell and super entertaining
Much appreciated
Sorry guys but “give them their flowers” is a very old adage. My grandmother said it often in the vein of awarding people while they’re “living” rather than waiting to “send flowers” for their funeral. 😉
Appreciate that. Feels like it's gained popularity in recent years though. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
@@pointforward The flowers sentiment has gained popularity and it’s a beautiful thing. You guys keep up the great work. The Point Forward podcast and a couple others really legitimize these new media platforms. There is so much noise and low-level messiness out here. Keep yours high…appreciate you.
All the best. ✨✨✨
Matt Barnes says it every single episode.
Pj never said it was just invented. Stop nitpicking
@@pointforwardI've always heard ppl say it... Maybe a southern thing
One of my favorite pods ever. If you were ever curious what it’s like to guard the best there’s nobody better to tell you than these guys. Shoutout PJ
You guys should edit the in game clips when you talk about them. I promise you it'll make the audience feel more apart of those moments!
Great discussion talk with Tucker. Very insightful on the insides of the NBA and overseas basketball
Thank you. I have always liked watching PJ Tucker play. Love getting the different perspective directly from the player. I enjoy the stories too hahaha
Infinite respect to PJ man so many sixers fans bash on him for not putting up 15 a night but the real recognize how important he can be for this team when he’s on it
Absolutely
Nah real recognize how important he is even when he’s not on and that he doesn’t have to be on to be important to your team💯.
Az an Austin Texas native PJ Tucker been different and wearing heat at the FRANK ERWIN CENTER!!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Enjoyed the perspective enlightened in this pod😌
most underrated pod .....i got gil's arena, jj's pod and then this 1....Dre is a frickin professor and ET really that dude man
Much appreciated
This was a great convo. PJ always gives great perspectives. New Subscriber acquired!
Much appreciated
Dudes who are not close being on the same team for 5 years is 100% on the culture of the club. The club should facilitate activities where the players can bond. Take them back to their childhood and let them play many games, make it competitive but fun. The problem is, some clubs just know they're not going anywhere so they don't care. For example, why doesn't Seattle have an NBA team but Charlotte does?
I think NBA teams could benefit from MBA courses on leadership, organizational management, and building effective teams.
Wanna Thank PJ for his heart n soul for his short stay in Philly. U don’t need to score to make an impact n that’s for sure when it comes to PJ. Hustle to the max.
This is awesome! Thank you guys for the content and insight!
Always 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Amazing content. When people are themselves it shines through.
🙌🏾🙌🏾
ET is hilarious 😂😂😂😂. Great podcast guys. Very insightful. Helps me have more empathy for professional athletes. It's a job, and there's a role to play. Simple.
please tell stories of back in the day with 76ers. Great pod love y’all!
Check out ep 1 Evan interviews Andre for his retirement
Love the show Dre. Gonna miss watchin you play!
I done quite a few pods already but this for sure one of the best
We appreciate that
What an amazing interview !
Hey fellas, my name is ilmi, I’m from Melbourne Australia. Just want to give you both your flowers. You guys are absolute inspirations. I love your content and I’m a huge basketball fan. Y’all need to come visit Australia. Keep up great work. Much love. P.S I’m a huge Boston Celtics fan.
We appreciate you checking us out. Australia sounds like fun. Have to make that happen someday 🙌🏾🙌🏾
One of my favorite players!! I always admire the do it all/do the little things type of players that arent concerned with stats. It takes a different type of mentality and maturity to embrace that role imo
It takes humbliness and self respect
that was a great episode
FAVOURITE EPISODE !!!
Glad you liked it 🙌🏾
One of the funniest podcasts iv watched and great knowledge of the game
Detlef Schrempf was guy had a great NBA career and had a lot of playoff experiences as well in the NBA , for being an international player
Going to miss watching you mentor Dre. I won't say good luck because I know whatever you doing, you putting in the work. Enjoy your new journey, be blessed🎉🎉🎉
Another one good pod, keep the good job guys! I'm from Greece and i watch PJ when it was in Aris(i'm not aris fan i'm AEK fan,btw Ben McLemore play's in AEK this year)PJ had that dog mentality from then and now after all the work he put,he's there he belongs in the magic world of the NBA for 14,5 straight years.
We appreciate you watching/listening. Lots of good players over there this year
@@pointforwardYou're welcome guys, keep the good job. Yes Kempa play's in the euroleague this year with Mike James in Monaco and also in AEK we have player's who they have play basketball in the states(Kuzminskas from Lithuania and Mfiondu Kabekele,Jordan McRae,Justin Tillman Chasson Randle who they have play little bit in the NBA and more in the G league.
This was straight up facts and fire all day. Unpopular take, but most people are going to be a lot closer to the 12-15th man than the superstar in their respective line of work. There's more relevant wisdom to be learned from the life and struggles of a PJ Tucker than a Curry or Lebron.
Great interview cuz💯
🙌🏾🙌🏾
Great episode!
BEST EPISODE!!!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Point Forward is definitely one of the best podcasts out! This was another insightful, funny, and awesome conversation 💯!
It’s dope how Tucker talked about being his authentic self and attracting what is meant for him. We can all learn from that; everyone’s journey is unique!
🙌🏾🙌🏾
Growing up as a Bulls fan… Deng was technical af on both sides of the floor. Hinrich and Deng were a nice combo
Kirk Deng Joakim and Ben Gordon were the heart of them bulls teams
@@timthompson2406 as a kid my favorite was Tyrus Thomas 😂😂
@@SlimPippinHustlin still mad they traded for him on draft night lbs
@@timthompson2406 when he blocked the ball then dunked on Josh Smith… that was like a championship for me
@@SlimPippinHustlin he was a highlight reel I just didn't like how his game didn't evolve
35:19 as someone who lives in London, hearing Iguodala say that is WIIILD 😂 it's the equivalent of saying The GS Warriors play in the Olympics
Bogut going down was the biggest reason the cavs were able to pull off that miracle comeback in 2016, in my opinion.
🤔🤔🤔
@@pointforwardthe real facts coupled in with the refs sitting him down game5 and 6 early with ticky tack foul calls.
@@pointforward the league hates Steph lmaoo we know he the GOAT
Exactly along with the league begging for a game 7 giving how that was the rematch and cavs were going out in 5 with Kyrie and klove 😭
Dope pod🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dope!!!
Great episode
Appreciate you
Dope episode
The "touching ball" cracked me up 😂 gave me a new perspective and up my respect on role players
Such a GREAT episode! PJ Tucker is such a great player!!! I was so upset when my favorite team the Milwaukee Bucks let him get away in free agency WHY???? He's a great player!!! Evan Turner & Andre are great hosts of this podcast!! Classy guys!!!!
🙌🏾🙌🏾
This was dope.
Glad you liked it. What was your favorite part?
@@pointforward -- I just liked the overall vibe. It looked like you 3 have these type of conversations between yourselves all the time.
I also like the ongoing acknowledgment throughout that NBA players can ball but have to check themselves for the roles they are assigned.
Probably more bad approaches by players than actual bad players. It is hard to be one of the best 450 in the world.
BE a pj tucker in life , really appreciate the talk about being a 15 man always be you and things will fall in your lap
Facts like hearing about dudes gotta be dude not the star or defense only.. Mental part of the game
Dragic being the back layup package was OD. He was solid for so long. A very solid PG for the Heat.
Manu ginobli should definitely be a type 5 on this list I believe personally
I ain't even going to lie, I came back to this video just because PJ Tucker got sent home. I always knew he was talking out his ass...😆😆
They just fined him 75k also for his public trade demands
This went soooooo fast 😭😭😭😭
That 360 windmill alltime highlight and PJ you did all you could do against them lmao anybody
else CLAMPED
We need a part 2 lmao
Just got into Jeff Teague podcast. That is the funniest hooper podcasting rn. 😂😂
Teague is hilarious
how we dress is how we express ourselves. I went to school at a time where I'm thankful we didn't wear uniforms. That gave everybody a chance to have an INDIVIDUALITY. You feel confident wit a nice fit and some heat on your feet. Like a friendly competition wit the homies on who got fresher!!😎 u feel me??
It goes:
If You look good
You feel good
& You play good
& THEY pay good
& Then life's good !!!!
I wish this was longer felt like 20 minutes
when iguodala was talking about how the team will use your sacrifice against you, i know deandre ayton felt that. dude spent the whole 2021 season rebounding and playing defense, was the best defender of jokic in the playoffs, team makes it to the finals and he's gotta guard giannis, then when his extension time came they made him test restricted free agency. 'it's a dirty game, is any man worthy of fame?' for real
Dope ass episode‼️
Suns fan here and still miss PJs hustle
Those Shawn Marion 5’s tough 🔥
Tuff
ET funny as hell LMAOOOOO
Yo, why has nobody told me Evan Turner was funny like this… bro had me dying the whole interview
Pj definitely got straps! He definitely makes every team he’s been on better and doesn’t have to score. He was doing a good job on Giannis the other night!
My favorite show
Thank you. We appreciate you
Yeah kukoc was like that so was sabonis sr and vlade especially in his younger years and pedro and petra some good intl players came in in the 90s
I'm glad u gave bogut his flowers def was a key piece and AK 47 was so nice people sleep on him
Nah man hearing the houston stories always hurts smh great episode man 10/10
One of my all time players ever! Loved him on the heat. wished the heat paid up lol 😂
Pj needs that Toronto Reunion
Evan turner is HILARIOUS 🤣🤣🤣
Evan Turner is hilarious! This pod has been always been great but it’s really turning the corner 🔥
The honest insight is dope
Much appreciated 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I heard someone say ‘I prefer to say give credit over give flowers cuz flowers are just a gift that sit on a shelf and die, credit is due’.
Like that
Top 3 podcast episode ever 😭
Wow. Thank you
PJ Tuckers favorite word is “LIKE”
He says it after every two words 😂😂 😂
S/O J.Teague
Yessss
52:00 he was talking bout korkmaz lol 😂😂😂😂
55:05 😂
“Big Tuck, Frieght Train Tuck”
Iggy really said “nah he gave YALL 40” lmao
It's shame we didn't get to see Sabonis in his prime. Everyone that did said he was a monster.
shoutout tuck
