Old Salem (Winston-Salem) NC Drive-thru

Salem was originally settled by members of the Moravian Church, a Protestant denomination that first settled in North America in Savannah (GA) in 1735. Members moved to Pennsylvania in 1740, where they founded several communities (Bethlehem, Nazareth and Lititz) then to North Carolina between 1753 - 1759.
Old Salem stands today as a historic district of Winston-Salem. It features a living-history museum which interprets the restored Moravian community.
Old Salem was declared a National Historic Landmark (NHL) in 1966.
