Anubis (/əˈnjuːbɪs/;[2] Ancient Greek: Ἄνουβις), also known as Inpu, Inpw, Jnpw, or Anpu in Ancient Egyptian (Coptic: ⲁⲛⲟⲩⲡ, romanized: Anoup), is the god of funerary rites, protector of graves, and guide to the underworld, in ancient Egyptian religion, usually depicted as a canine or a man with a canine head.[3]
Like many ancient Egyptian deities, Anubis assumed different roles in various contexts. Depicted as a protector of graves as early as the First Dynasty (c. 3100 - c. 2890 BC), Anubis was also an embalmer. By the Middle Kingdom (c. 2055-1650 BC) he was replaced by Osiris in his role as lord of the underworld. One of his prominent roles was as a god who ushered souls into the afterlife. He attended the weighing scale during the "Weighing of the Heart", in which it was determined whether a soul would be allowed to enter the realm of the dead. Anubis is one of the most frequently depicted and mentioned gods in the Egyptian pantheon; however, no relevant myth involved him.[4]
Anubis was depicted in black, a color that symbolized regeneration, life, the soil of the Nile River, and the discoloration of the corpse after embalming. Anubis is associated with his brother Wepwawet, another Egyptian god portrayed with a dog's head or in canine form, but with grey or white fur. Historians assume that the two figures were eventually combined.[5] Anubis' female counterpart is Anput. His daughter is the serpent goddess Kebechet. - Hudba

So this makes three Mythology raps so far, and each one has been a massive hit. Whether it’s the Big 3 of Olympus, Sun Wukong, or Anubis, Rustage has delivered performances that show why these beings were revered back then.

Wouldn't Sun Wukong was more of a story character because he was from a book written somewhere in the 16ty century?
@PT5-Shorts while you are right about Wukong being written in the 16th century, with the writer being Wu Cheng'en. Wukong had ended up being put into shrines, having statues, and had also became a religion based solely around him at one point. Besides the whole "it's a only a written story so it's not a myth" doesn't make sense because if that's the case then all greek myths aren't myths. Cause those are just stories written by people. A myth really in a nutshell is just a story with a religion built on that story. So on a technicality, Wukong counts as a myth.

There's only been two if i recall (this one and the Sun Wukong) but I am REALLY liking the raps that are about deities/folklore characters without strong ties to any recent IP. Like this feels like one "for Anubis" not "an Anubis from X game or X show." I know the Record of Ragnarok characters also kind of fit this bill too based on the show like with the Jack the Ripper rap. But man... this one was a bop just like On the Run and Light of the Sun. Definitely going in the playlist!
