That place must have had a dump nearby? Somewhere they tipped all of their rubbish? It wouldn’t be far away, just far enough not to let any smell from food waste to reach the complex. It would be interesting to dig it.

Readers must remember the Russians were here for years. One of the things they dug up was the huge circular power cable for the site to retrieve the copper. They blew up Hitler's bunker but a great deal remains. He used it for meetings. He never slept in it, preferring a wooden structure nearby. Note: NOT the July plot room.

The explosive force required to do this much damage is incomprehensible!

In the day, SS Guards stood in trenches for hours. They had to wear thin gloves and mosquito nets over the head. Mosquitos were always a problem. When I visited I was lucky but the guide was bitten.

The Wolfschanze had 2 or 3 protective rings - of which Hitler's area was one.

Comment already mentioned, metal detector, I was wondering if there are laws or regulations stopping folk from sweeping detectors around?

Yes. You need a license and permits from the antiquity office. £1000+ fine for cowboy detectoring. "PIOTREK FUNDACJA LATEBRA" channel has all the necessary permits for selected plots and he was the one who discovered those human remains with feet and hands cut off. It's the vid with close to 500K views.

It's NOT OK to body shame people ur a horrible person! Next time think "would I say this to someone's face" because we all know you wouldn't be so rude! The internet makes ppl forget you'd get punched in the face for saying less in real life, be kind ALWAYS
