Tell you about Salah?
1. He made it on his own. He came up from a tiny village in Egypt, travelled alone 5-6hours on buses everyday to train after school. He then left Egypt and made his own way through smaller European teams when Egyptian football was literally cancelled for political reasons
2. He is going along breaking every record Liverpool and the Premier League has. Too many to name here.
3. He constantly gets disrespect but is one of the most humble and respectful men in football - Married his childhood sweetheart, spends virtually all his money (10s of millions of Pounds) building schools and hospitals in Egypt and making sure the small villages in Egypt have basic needs and food.
-Captured on security cameras in Liverpool intervening to stop a group of men harassing a homeless guy in the the middle of the night-gave him money and sent him on his way. Despite the risks to himself.
-Stopped and turned his car around to go back and check up on a kid who he saw in his rear view mirrors running into a lightpole trying to chase him down-the kid KO's himself and broke his nose. Most millionaire footballers wouldn't even notice.
Declined to press charges against some poor kid that broke into his house and tried to rob him, instead he gave him food, money and found him a job so he wouldn't have to commit crimes anymore.
4.Is changing the way Westerners see young Arab men. Online harassment and Anti-Muslim hate crimes are down over 20% within 1 year of him arriving in the city, he always speaks of his wife and everything she has done to help him make it, he speaks out openly and publicly about improving women's rights in the Middle East.
5. Over 2 million Egyptians crossed out the candidates names in the last election and wrote in Salah's name on their ballot.
