Okay this imperial fist fever dream is cute but those are clearly iron warriors
I would have thought you would have a Video about the Dataslate since it not only buffs Space Marines, but it makes the No Cover rules of IF more valuable. And Bolt Weapons and Mass Fire more efficient.

Disagree, V. Love that's he's a generic Praetor. Add your own bling and faction-specific addons to suit. Means this set can be used as a two player set (heretics v loyalists) or as a decent sized all-in-one set for a single force. Having it any other way would mean you've got redundant models.

Oh yeah you can just buy this box and basically have a whole force right out the box… welp guess that’s what we are doing when it drops.
One thing that I don't understand is the skulls - didn't the skull only become an imperial symbol after the Emperor was placed on the Golden Throne, aka the skull representing the Emperor's sacrifice?
I think that also represents that they are the angels of dearh
I disagree, that fact that it lacks iconography means you can paint it as any legion and it would fit right in.
I mean I would like it to be even more generic, as this is supposed to be a starter set for all legions, and I just don't see some legions wearing that sort of adornments
A bit busy but certainly a nice model. Can't wait to convert one to the first legion. I will have one painted as an IF though in honour of our glorious chapter master.

The head crest on the helmet is fine to me, but the one on the barehead is definiately going. It look ridiculous😂

I find it interesting how many models are wearing the Corvus Pattern Armor, cause I thought only the Raven Guard actually liked it because it suited the Legion so much, while the other Legions maybe used it every now and then
According to the current lore, only the alpha legion and Raven guard has the armor in any large numbers by the seige of terra
They really are pushing the Corvus armor pretty hard. The beakie just looks odd on every legionary. Certain units for sure, but not EVERY Astarte.

". He goes in depth on why it makes sense to have a lot of Corvus at this period
@@RichardMillerish i though the sons of horus gained access to it early same as terminator armour.
It was only produced on Mars and it was blockaded for most of the heresy. So it didn't see mass use until the scouring. Idk why the didn't just call it that, would cause alot less issues with he lore.
The model is cool, but I hate all the head options. To make an Imperial Fist I would simply swap it for a Mark III or IV helmet, or the bearded head of the sternguard veterans.
I agree 100%. I wonder if there will be different head options on the sprues.
The helmet stays on. I love the crest, I was looking for just that type of crest for a captain, with transversal crests for lieutenants and centurions, painted in different patterns

Swap the pistol for a Phalanx Warder shield and maybe lose the mohawk. Maybe a Phalanx Warder helm too, for the reinforced look?

Don't, all the models that are essential for Horus Heresy are off the market. MKIIIs and MKIVs are gone, and dreadnaughts are flying off the market. Save your money and your time.
It’s ok, from a 30k player point of view there’s a high likelihood that it will end up in the pile behind the troops and tanks from the box.
WOW Looks like you got some sun! The detail of that Praetor is fantastic but it doesn't look like an Imperial fists. Yep for sales.

The imperial fist praetor looks hella weird, not gonna lie.
The bonus is you can paint the Axe one as Imperial fists... ;)

I like this model a lot! The only thing I'd change is the hollow sword (wouldn't it break?), and the plume on his unhelmet head. It's a super easy fix to chop it off though, so not a big deal.
Could also stick in a MK III or IV helmet and it'd look just as good.

As a Space Wolf player I gotta say it feels like they just really impacted the balance. It's nice to see them buff lacking armies like imperial guard rather than just nerf the new books.
My friend plays Imp guard and I am happy for him. This has made me feel a lot more positive about the game at a time when I had stopped arranging games

I mean, legion specific wise they should keep it to just the 2 versions per legion. (Which some don't even have yet)
When did traitor armour start to twist and morph into how it looks in 40k? The traitor armour throughout the heresy up to the assault on Terra remains the same as when they were loyalists.
Mostly after the heresy when the surviving traitors fled into the eye of terror
The traitors where proud of their legions rather than their origin, plus some other reasons.
3. Flugrim was insane by the heresy nd his warriors bore crazy armour designs and kept the same insignia (the imperial aquila) to troll the loyalists (no really, they would even scream "for the emperor" in battle just to troll the loyalists)
4. Perty was a man of efficiency who didn't care for the physical markings of his legion that much
8. Konrad was insane and liked the fear look that his warriors had
12. Angron was insane and hated his sons so he didn't care for their armor design
14. Mortarion and his sons didn't have that much insignia, barley any and mortarion took it all away to have his barren culture on his troops rather than the terran one.
15. Magnus was salty about his culture being destroyed and kept it in his sons plus he didn't want to originally become traitor so he kept his insignia.
16. Hrous kept his insignia as he thought himself better than the emperor and so kept his insignia as a way of showing superiority in his was
17. Lorgar had a lot of culture and kept it even changing it in order to follow the gods so he isn't the best choice to look at here
20. Alpha legion didn't care about insignia I think

I mean the plume on the IF preator and the topknot on the SoH preator are kind of legion flavored. But yeah should have seen this coming Val! Time to get kitbashing!
This might be a dumb idea but I think they should have all of the loyalist/Heretic legion shoulder pads in the box set so you have a choice of legion although this will probably be a lot of work none the less Great looking models!
Could always offer the box set as a bundle with the shoulder pads, so like an extra £10 or somethinh and you pick your legion (or legions if doing two armies) and get enough for all the troops in the box

Might just be me but his right arm looks like you had a power sword that was supposed to be pointing forward but they've posed it pointing up
I mean, helmet comming competely off i, that i thought aswell, looking on unhelmeted spacemarines, and videos where they take of their helmets. But with the official ''armory of the spacemarine'', they completely assemble/fix the helmet on the spacemarine???!

I don't know why, but I hate that head option for the Fists. Might be alright in some other model. But looks all wrong. Oh well, I look forward to cannibalizing it for parts for my successor chapter.

You could make it so the sword is pointing down. You could also easily cut your off the Mohawk if you want
The model without the helmet looks like colonel mustard, with the monocle and yellow to boot!
Idk if I like the sword sky high there…although if they come out with a modular kit Im sold haha. Overall looking like the future is positive

The head crest should either be directly on the helmet oder removed, the head without the helmet needs the crst to be removed, the rest of the model I really like.
I dont quite like the praetor models shown, both of them, they look busy af and I dont see them as universal enough to fit with all legions. Maybe this will change for me when they will show them in different colors.
To be fair I don’t think they will show the praetors in other colors

Not a fan of it. Individual bits on it look fine for kitbashes but all together looks weird and too much. Should've made a multi pose customizable kit for generic praetor.

Why does he have an aquila on his helmet? It was the emperor's symbol gifted to the III legion to wear after their defence of the Emperor during the Proximan betrayal and wasn't adopted by the other legions until after the Heresy.

For me the preators are pretty meh, they look fine they don’t jump out at me, but they bad HH miniatures they’re more busy then they should be fine as a 40k kit, doesn’t have the HH feel, and the armour looks more like mk X than mk VI
