      Hi Anton sorry for the late reply. We had a great time filming this walk and as we reached the top about lunch time there were so many people and a school party admiring the views. All the best The Taxi driver

    Hey you ot to try a walk up and around Whitbarrow Scarr which is based at the bottom of the woods at Witherslack village almost on the door step of the boarding school I once attended. Yes the Scarr sure brings back many fond memories of trips up and down that hill. We also used to do some of our cross country runs on a Friday up and around the Scarr though not so much fun then but funny to look back to now after all these years. Again I soon intend on heading up here to the equestrian centre adjacent to the boarding school I attended in Witherslack village and of course virtually looking onto Whitbarrow Scarr. Yes again the Lake District is brilliant I liked attending school there in a fantastic part of the country and is indeed a HUGE part of me for the rest of my life AND beyond if I have anything to do with it.

    Hi again. You sure get about AND I don’t blame you. Are you from the AMAZING Lake District? As mentioned previously I had a complete ball when I attended boarding school based in good old Grange Over Sands many years ago. Yes the glorious Lakes including Witherslack village where I attended school were a complete novelty. As I may have mentionedIm VERY VERY keen to book into the equestrian centre adjacent to the boarding school I proudly attended AND I’d LOVE to go on a coach tour, walks and partake of other exciting activities. Maybe we ot to meet up if you like as you sound very knowledgeable and a good guy with that AMAZING accent. Yes again beloved Cumbria Is a HUGE part of my up bringing stomping ground and YES VERY poignant indeed.

      Hi bestrickie2, I am a black cab driver in York and that's why we have the freedom to go walking and filming whenever the weather is good. It is only a 2 and a half hour driver to the lakes from where we live. All the best The Taxi Driver

      Hi Helen, we have just got back from the Lake District. We stayed in Keswick for one night and today we walked from Grasmere along Loughrigg Terrace to see the mass of bluebells then around the lake to finish off at Wordsworth's Grave and of course some of the famous gingerbread. The sun was shining and we had a great day. We hope you are lucky with your search all the best The Taxi Driver.

      Oh wow! What a small world! I went to Wordsworth grave and had some gingerbread - lovely lovely stuff :) I went to Dove cottage and walked from Grasmere to Ambleside but on the way walked up the Loughrigg fells :) The dream certainly would be to live there one day. Im glad you had a lovely time :)

      Hi Gary thank you this is a lovely walk rather steep going up though but the reward is the fantastic views at the top and the ice-cream from the little shop in Troutbeck. We are a bit disappointed we have not been able to film in the Lakes this year. Hope to get there soon to do some more walks. All the best The Taxi Driver

    Hi I am hoping to head to the equestrian centre just after Easter this year. Please let me know when you plan to head to Whitbarrow Scarr as I may take a walk up there while I am at the equestrian centre. On Whitbarrow Scarr you’ll come across Chapel Head. There is another place near Witherslack village called Bowland Bridge. Excuse me if my spelling is in correct but you may have heard of B Bridge. Yes this part of the country is a MUST for more holidays for me and YES VERY poignant as regards my good old school days spent at Witherslack Hall School now called Over Sands School and as I say adjacent to the equestrian centre that used to be Witherslack Farm. I KNOW when I head up here I’ll feel VERY attached indeed.

    Do you happen to know of the village Witherslack and Whitbarrow Scarr, St Paul’s Church in the same village?

    • @thetaxidriverj
      @thetaxidriverj  Před 6 lety

      No sorry we don't know these villages. All our walks are new to us we film so whether we have been through them or not we cannot remember. All the best The Taxi Driver
