It is believed that, the soma had something to do with creating an adrenalin rush and a heightened state of being, much more useful in a war, that psychedelics.

When you talk about Ganesh existing in an altered state, I completely agree. Yeah and that's why christians are so rigid and mentally backward..just like the Islamists! Y'all needs to get out of your inferiority and try to be just humans for once
I've considered myself a animist over the years, but I've looked more into Hinduism and feel myself drawn to it. Soma is interesting as a drink that is a god itself, many cultures have something similar, the Iranians had Haoma, the Chinese - Ling Chih, Meso-Americans - Yeonanactl, God's Flesh, who the Spanish were appalled by the similarities of their Eucharist, but in reality the Spanish just found a very early version of Christianity .
Had a wonderful neighbor growing up. Her parents we’re Auschwitz survivors. Met in the camp survived the camp and married after the war. Mom used to tell me the way she survived was telling the German soldiers fortunes. This woman was one of the most gifted psychics I have ever met. She would use props like cards and tea leaves but like your guest said. She could look you right in the face and tell you all about your self. When she first read me I was not interested, non believing and full of doubt. Same woman when she was a little girl drew a picture of my mothers house and said that where she wanted to live when she grew up. I seen the picture and it was the creepiest thing I ever seen. Our houses faced each other across the street and the perspective of the picture Was as if she was standing on her daughters porch and had drew it a day prior. She had read me several times over the years. Never a vague read. Pretty spot on. Wether you believe in it or not I’ve had many experiences that still blow my mind. But that being top three.
Was smoking DMT one of the top 3? It was number ONE for me. By far. Absolutely incredible. If I got to the end of my life without smoking DMT, and entities appeared and said "hey, did you know that you only have this one life and could have experienced DMT at least once during your 70+ years on earth and we tried to tell you about it but you ignored us and skipped it but here is what you missed..." I would go through that experience and realize that my entire life was like peering through a tiny hole and staring at a corner of an empty room. One minute of DMT is bigger than all of my life combined together and multiplied by a million and then churned through millions of years of technology into the future and back again, with a detour through the cosmos and taking the perspective of every creature I've ever heard of and all the trillions of creatures I can't even imagine and seeing through the eyes of every person I've known and every person I've ever heard of and then there's the entire aspect of what I could never even imagine in a million lifetimes and it's all delivered on a platter, with beings there to help you through the experience and assuring you and calming you down and explaining that this life is only a fraction of the story and you are on a wild ride that will blow your mind into a million pieces and you better strap-in because it's only just begun so here we go... But most importantly, everything is going to be okay. Better than okay. It's going to be AMAZING... And then the colors start to fade and the sounds start to muffle and everything becomes very mundane and dull... and you're back on earth. And who knows, maybe those entities and everything I experienced were just a figment of my psychedelic imagination (although hard to believe because it was so alien and bizarre and incredible), but if so, then that would mean it was even more important to not let this chance get away without trying it at least once in my lifetime. But hey, you only live once so, no regrets, right? I'll tell you this, of everything I've done and not done in my life, I'd regret NOT trying DMT more than anything else. And this is coming from someone who's lived a very colorful life, across the planet, for many years, and with many people. Don't miss out on this one. In a sense, it would be like I'd never lived at all...
This gives me hope that I will be ok for being a good person karma has to be real. And we can all always improve and be more kind. Very fun episode on this podcast
From what I hear (from friends who see spirits and talk to them, etc) the key is forgiveness. You don't need another to forgive you -- that's THEIR lesson that's on them -- but if YOU have not forgiven someone, even if they killed you and you're dying due to them, you'll come back and relive a similar experience so that you will. If there is strong emotion -- that magnetic attraction or that you detest -- there is forgiveness needed, and not the surface kind, the "every cell is now fine and neutral with this person" kind.
@@jessicaf6358 ok but why would you forgive someone who really wronged you? Like when will they learn their lesson? if you dont show them you cant do that?

@@jessicaf6358 sorry but your friends have something off with their brain if they see things, either drug induced or otherwise. I think we’ve all died before and we just wake up and continue in another realm as if nothing happened yet the people we leave behind in this world are left to experience the pain. There are so many ways to die and yet we are all still “alive” what are the chances lol
That's why you have to teach them about death instead of never talking about it. Before it's too late. Let them know your love for your loved ones will live in all eternity even though your physical body is gone. Help them understand that death is the Only thing that is certain. Nothing else. Accept death and be Free. Don't kill yourselves though.
that would mean everyone around you is just a figmant that isnt real and that would mean you would have no way of knowing who is self aware or conscious vs who isnt

Hey, great video! I only just got into the vedic/sidereal astrology in the last couple of years. The western system - Tropical - is based on the sun. The vedic /sidereal is based not just on the moon, but on the fixed stars and very distant galaxies. If you can, I'd recommend having a vedic/sidereal chart done. I did, and I found that my sidereal chart was way more accurate in describing my nature. I don't think that everything is predetermined, as I believe that free will and grace are both very important additives to our experiences. The Christians were simply redefining and describing aspects of a very ancient truth. Just imagine how many people that have either totally disregarded astrology or forced themselves to adapt to a different idea of who they might be due to some mistakes made by western astrologers. You may think you are a Taurus sun, yet you may well be an Aries sun. Plus, the other signs in your chart are just as important, if not more accurate, in determining aspects of your reality. In vedic/sidereal, your rising sign and moon sign are real players - not to mention the other aspects. So you may think that because you are born on a specific day of a month that you are meant to be "all" that that sign entails. In reality, it's more complex and layered.

It will take more than a lifetime to go through all the ideas that shaped present day Hinduism. It ranges from hardcore theism to extreme atheism. Simply put Hinduism is an umbrella term for all the beliefs, rituals and philosophies of different ,mainly rigidly exclusive communities and castes. Usually the people who want you to study Hinduism keep the most fundamental aspect of Hinduism; caste; from an external examiner, they save it for the last, if they teach it to you. Start from the caste system, understand it and then only if you are interested go down the rabbit hole.

I am an indian and I never believed in astrology, vedic rituals and all. One day my mother forced me to go to an astrologer with her, we had some setbacks in our family and she believed he could help. She told him to look up my fortune. He asked my nakshathra (Birth star). And he did some calculations and he started telling things which were very accurate. He predicted about my illness, career, my past and he was 95% right about everything he said.

@Otherwise Healthy reread and use your noggin, how are there so many survivors of a death camp? If that doesnt make you go hmm then go back 2 sleep
Was smoking DMT one of the top 3?
It was number ONE for me.
By far. Absolutely incredible. If I got to the end of my life without smoking DMT, and entities appeared and said "hey, did you know that you only have this one life and could have experienced DMT at least once during your 70+ years on earth and we tried to tell you about it but you ignored us and skipped it but here is what you missed..."
I would go through that experience and realize that my entire life was like peering through a tiny hole and staring at a corner of an empty room.
All the annunaki and other civilizations from other planets is all fake, space is fake, all of that is just to get people to deny God and give rise to their own pagan gods and deceive the world, we have never been to space, look up operation fish bowl, operation high jump, operation Dominic, along with all 6 faked Apollo missions.

Oh my GOD I am tripping out I’m at 2:56 I’m just freaking out that I could’ve come to this conclusion on my own separately so vividly and so truly (it feels like). Having someone say exact thoughts that it’s like a belief already that I came to separately on my own in such clarity like such exact words. That’s just wild to me. I’m half Japanese my grandfather was Buddhist and their heritage is Buddhist and idk if this naturally brought me to meditation easier or something like whenever I was bored as a child I wouldn’t find something to do I would just think and be still lol (kinda sad sounding I did normal things too!!) so MAYBE that explains the connection to this realization and me on my own coming to this conclusion??? Idk but it was really a crazy thing watching this and as his words came out like just realizing this is a thing already in thought other known thought processes that’s super inspiring and really cool.
I LOVED this episode. Please have him back!
This was good right!
I have thought the same things about our planet. Astronaut goes to the moon and looks out to see the earth as 1 being! We are one people. Love and peace ❤️
Boy does what he say ring true for me about not learning my lesson and having to repeat it!

I was just thinking that
But what if someone commits a suicide? Was he meant to do it? Is it a mistake? Maybe the lesson in the persons life was to be patient and not commit suicide, feel free to answer to this, anyone
I also think about this a lot
@@CanbaconFTW in vedic teachings, committing suicide is also considered a sin, and he has to birth again to fulfill his karma(also face the consequences of committing suicide) in another life

if we are really doing time on this planet? then we are surely doing everything we can to end that situation as soon as possible.
Yes if u become good person by doing good karmas and u r soul becomes pure and u have faith in god.then u will have chance to get moksha.wich means u r soul will go back to where it belong to all mighty.and the cycle of birth and death will end.other wise it will keep repting.

Oh shit yes, there'd be quite the awakening if enough people learn to be here now, eh
And laughter.
But Joe doesn't have the patience/zen for Eckhart.
He would not understand the long pauses. Joe is used to trying too hard.
Eckhart is about letting go 😎✌💖
C.J. M. Great idea!
It would be a whole lot of silence that people would compelled to believe is profound, in order to justify the waste of 3 hours of life they gave up.

You are making the same decisions for the same reasons and you end up at the same place over and over again until you'll realise the flaws in your own judgement and fix it.
True. Appreciate you sharing this. 👍
“I’m a New York sceptic” -Raghunath
“But you believe in Ginesh” -Joe
skeptic is someone who doesn't take something on face value. if you work on a project and you are skeptic about it .. and it turns out fine .. doesn't mean you still be skeptic.
Universal truths repeat themselves
"If I didn't learn a lesson from it then I'll just get that lesson again"

I hate that I know exactly what that means.... LoL
The thing he said about charts is a real thing and a lot of Indians believe in that. It has been seen that charts can predict the future.

"No, I'm more the finishing type"

One day a gypsy woman came at my job and just looked my friend in the face n told him things that blew his mind. She said he has curse on male side because of blood revanges that happened in decades back and many other things. Funny thing is that his father told him the same thing long time ago n nobody pretty much knew about that. Its incredible what some people can do...

I’m so fascinated by Hinduism and I want to know more
It will take more than a lifetime to go through all the ideas that shaped present day Hinduism.
Just read Srila Prabhupada books. It has all. Start from small ones and Bhagvad Gita.👍
I mean if you think about weather, plate tectonics, storms everything our incredible planet can do. Why couldn't it be labeled as having a mind or personality of it's own? I like to think our planet has a consciousness of its own. I'm 99% i'm wrong but hey it's a cool thought to play around with. Especially since we consider plants as life forms.
