@@NefariousPorpoise I want to be very clear that this guy (Raghunath Cappo)doesn't get it. He was not "enlightened" at any point.
Nefarious - You are very wrong in thinking that Hinduism and Buddhism are crazy(study Hindu and Buddhist PHILOSOPHY specifically). People like this guy, do make it sound crazy, however enlightenment (as an aha moment only) is a real thing. In fact, there are people that were silenced long ago that were enlightened Christians, however they were silenced. I'm not saying to become any of those, I'm saying with the right teacher, they are all effective at enlightening and making it so you don't need any religion, but you know you are one with the universe.
Before you dismiss it, I highly suggesting learning about Hinduism, Daoism, and Buddhism through Alan Watts. He has lectures on youtube, or you can read his books.
I like Buddhism, hinduism, and Daoism, but if I were to hear this guy I'd be turned off too. Some people experience enlightenment instantly, some it takes a whole life time, some never get it. It honestly doesn't matter.

"Two things happen when you strip everything away from a person. They either lose it, they hop the fence so to speak, or they learn to find their pleasure from something more subtle" This is the most deeply profound thing I've heard in such a long time. I remember during my hardest moments, a voice telling me to find pleasure in the sun hitting my skin or the way the clouds looked on a sunny day. There's always something beautiful, but your pain can hide that from you. Sometimes it makes it hard to focus on anything else, but always look for something beautiful.

That also was something I've experienced. I also find it hard to appreciate the subtle things. This is so well phrased too! Sipping water, walking and feeling the ground. There's a whole myriad of pleasures to be found in each moment. Even during conflict, mistakes and pain, the pleasure of the lessons to be learned.

Jesus showed that real love and spirituality can come from anyone regardless of what their professed religion is. It’s about action and appreciation. We find by our actions when positive produce good results which makes us happier deep down. If we pursue self pleasure we can feel an inner remorse that can make us feel overall less fulfilled or ashamed which can make us less happy. Which tends to lead people to drink and abuse drugs more. If we can be balanced it can be fine. But what really seems to stand out here is realizing we can show more love and appreciation when we realize how much we should be grateful for, and when we understand how we can show appreciation to our Creator, it can make us truly happy and a better person.

Kid871 that's awesome. In 2014 I got a one way ticket to Brisbane from the states to backpack Australia. I had $1800 in my pocket and no plan. Have to say it was hard at first but everything worked out. I managed to run into people who set me up with jobs here and there and worked my way along the sunshine coast up to Hamilton island. I was out there a whole year and definitely impacted my life for the better. I was very materialistic before I left and I came back a much simpler person. Good luck on your travels and have faith it will work out!

@12:15 when he mentions how eating food prepared by someone who hosts a different QUALITY of conscious awareness will affect your own quality - he is very accurate. It becomes obvious if you work on your state of mind.
    Daily Practices To Increase Sensitivity
-Expose yourself to sunlight for 40 minutes a day.
-Sleep 8 hours or more a night.
-Exercise and stretch your body with a sense of love for everything that is.
    -Walk in nature often.
    Social
    -Converse meaningfully with people.
    -Practice no judgment.
    Thoughts
-Disengage with fear. Social-based fears and future-based fears are sensitivities of the ego, NOT the kind of sensitivity that allows for the feeling of subtle things.
    Radiation
-Remove yourself, as best as you can, from wifi devices and all other wireless devices.
Explanation: Increasing sensitivity relies on minimizing the disruption of your natural state. Wifi-based devices and their radiation (if standing nearby) deters the natural state of cells and of the nervous system in general. Such radiation is a sporadic and jittery set of voltage gradients which pass through the tissues of your body. Exposure to the radiation imparts an effect on one's state of mind.
    Diet
    -Less sugar.
-Eat to balance the presence of minerals in your body (magnesium balances your mood).
    -Eat less rather than more.
    Sexual
-Love the person you are with (or are thinking of) with the same magnificence that you feel when you are taking in the ocean.
Try these things for a week and you will feel almost everything differently;)

The book talks about the difference between that which is matter born, and that which non matter, but eternal. It's quite profound. And it sees "God" as everything- The multiverses, birth, death, the 7 upper (heavens) & 7 lower (narak) mandalas - everything exists within him. He is in everything, everything is in him. Yet he his away from everything. "Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds" ~ Oppenheimer quoting a Gita verse (shlôk)

Food in the American diet has become an inconvenience in our busy day. When we run from here to there. I absolutely agree with what this man is saying about food it is another aspect of consciousness. I spent 20 years in the restaurant business and that’s the one thing that I learned food is prayer.I was trying to re-create my great grandma‘s chicken and dumpling soup once and everybody was tasting my soup was saying it’s amazing let it go leave it and what I realize was I was trying to re-create the love of that woman had put in her food and what I understood at that moment was I can’t re-create her love but I can create my love and present it to another human being.
How do I always adhere to that principle with myself no I’ve gone back to that place of food being an inconvenience and I must see 4 to 5 small meals a day and just trying to shove macros down my neck instead of remembering it’s a prayer it’s love it’s consciousness.

Does the average shift at your job even allow for you enough time to tend a garden in the first place? maybe what was sold to us was "convenience" and "practicality" when what we really got was "mental disorders" and "evolutionary overreach". sure it sounds like a bit of a stretch but if you allowed yourself the time to appreciate this concept with a bit of conspiracy theorist energy lol, i assure you it isn't really.
