+Flatts I really like this as well. I've got some recognition from my older days of playing, and some of this is new to me because my MMO-newbie self only made it so far 15 or so years ago (My god...), so it's very cool to get a bit of the flavor and description of the zone as part of your vids.
In the same vein, I love the level of detail you get into describing all the quest text, even the optional stuff. Especially for a class that I never played, it's cool to see some of the defining elements of what went into gearing and class questing for a monk!
KC is my favorite place in EQ. Not so much for how it looks or the atmosphere but because of something that happened to me. When I first started, I would spend hours suicide running around so I could see places. I ended up in KC one day loved how all the mobs at the entrance were intimidating and looked powerful. I knew I wanted to level so I could group there and it was my main goal in leveling. It sounds stupid, today but being 12 and wanting to fit in and feel powerful was so awesome to me. Good times. CoM was another zone that captivated me.
KC is my favorite as well. As a kid 10-12yrs old I would watch my dad on his bard in groups outside of KC pulling the giants or in KC at the courtyard camps. Would watch for hours just wishing one day I could level my Paladin so I could do the same haha!
My dad also had a monk. And I swear he told me he got a " badass staff " off the raid boss in KC and he talked about how everyone basically revered him because of it. Not sure if that's correct though because I feel this guy being a monk would have mentioned that. Perhaps my memory is off. Either way I did have many good memories of the game. Kelethin the wood elf city especially. I was maybe 9 when my dad got the game. And I only seen him in the summers. So one summer he started the game and i was with him. He would d/c on the elevator going into the city all the time and get so pissed rofl! I remember him grouping and fighting orcs outside the city. One distinct memory is after I had left that summer. He called me and said remember those orcs outside the town?? Well behind there is this place with even bigger orcs and a castle full of them! I was blown away like so excited about what he was saying even though I didnt have the game myself. Ahh the how the game ruined a couple of his marriages though... lol!

Man the level of skill of that Bard, you just don't see that kind of high level creative playing in modern games.
My favorite dungeon in this game, man the camps in this place. So many groups to get into loved it.

Omg these monk videos remind me of my childhood so hard. I used to do all of these zones...but I mostly soloed my 50s in sol b killing spiders. Also lots of spiders in crystal caverns.

Love the vids. An Earthquake on p99 resets all raid bosses and all long spawn timer mobs like those for epics. When you're in raid guild, earthquake is go time. Also KC as a monk...hate it....love it....you learn to be a competitive puller in KC which will help you later if you want to snag a dragon from another guild when you only have seconds to get it done.

You make really impressive videos. Easily the best I've seen of EQ.
Tip for pulling sir, invest in shrink pots. About 200pp for a 10dose when I played. Gives gnome cheat vision through walls. Extremely useful in small dungeons because with practice you can see most/all the spawns in the zone from around your preferred camp.

Damn i miss EQ, at least what it was back in the day. Id like to give it another try someday but i need a new computer set up that can handle games as my old one died. Someday ill get a new computer and see if my shaman is still alive and well in EverFrost and maybe see about downloading project 99. until then, fond memories EverQuest, fond memories indeed. I especially loved the segment on Karnors, i spent a lot of time there and loved that place.
You dont even need a new computer, just get one from the trash in a landfill and it will run EQ at 60 FPS lmao
Good old EverQuest, still best MMO on the market in my opinion...

I can't see the race to the level 60 I like to enjoy the game and level slowly exploring but to each there own
