It's gonna be awful on that too. And every other console in existence. Literally the best business idea ever. Basically making a $200 computer(possibly less due to the fact most console companies can make their own parts), and then slapping a $500 price tag on it when you could make something 3 times better for the same amount.

It's impossible to build an XboxOne X using PC components for less than $500.
You can't even match the power for that price. Maybe in November it'll be possible, but right now, no. The XboxOneX (despite having NO exclusives) is a great value for power. 3rd party games will run great on XboxOne X. Shame it'll be stuck at 30fps for competitive reasons

That baseball bat animation is trash. They just replaced the machete with a bat, so instead of hitting them he's fucking slashing them.

I am TOTALLY going to get this game. Story looks awesome, graphics look on point, & shooting mechanics look great. But most importantly, *the story looks awesome*.

In Far Cry 5, the whole map is accessible right off the bat unlike previous Far Cry games where the towers are needed to get rid of the fog of war. The towns are more like outposts except they're bigger and spread out. I see nothing wrong with that. Capturing towns will be more like capturing villages in The Witcher 3 where new shops open up in liberated villages.
I get what people mean when they say 'meh, same old', and must admit I am the same same with other games, but Far Cry doesn't come out that often (2014 Far Cry 4 (ignoring Primal), and I must admit I still look forward to the next re-skin :p :D

Far Cry is one of my favorite open World Games in fact it's my number one favorite
I miss the days when demos would come out to the PUBLIC. Barely any games come out with demos....or if they do its AFTER the game is out now.
Wasn't really 10 minutes of gameplay, more like 5 minutes of trailer, but still looks like a sweet game.

Let's see, what does this game have that 3 and 4 didn't? (and yes, I see all of these as positive changes) Companions, with commands (admittedly that was in Primal). Ballistics. Actual aircraft and dogfighting. Melee as a weapon class instead of insta-win takedowns. No towers. Full campaign coop. Custom protagonist. No minimap. And that's just what we know about so far.
The basics of sneaking and shooting may look similar, but it seems to be a bigger leap forward than it was from 3 to 4. Now if I could just get FC2's map system back...
Yeah the game has frame issues right now but you know what, I am just happy they are showing the actual game and not some pre-rendered BS. This is what Nintendo does and it works, this is what E3 should show and this is what ultimately gives me a good feel for the game. Ill take a low performance honest showcase any day over pre-rendered

Far cry 5 already out and I still can beat first mission of Far Cry primal, eventhough its been a half year already.
I wish they would add a holster feature in this game
so this is just basically the last 2 far cry games just in another location

i was like ahmm i expected better graphics and better performance (fps) but then i realised this is played on consoles, it's ok now
One thing I'd like to see done in shooters is, when you open fire on an unsuspecting enemy, he should immediately search for cover instead of turning and trying to shoot back at you in open field. It's a little detail that gets on my nerves. Who the fuck wouldn't just try to hide his ass instead of turning around like "oh it's fine if I take a bullet or two before I actually realise WHERE THE FUCKING FIRE IS COMMING FROM!?!?!"
What I see here is: "Here are a ton of mechanics that are way less efficient than just shooting them in the face"

GENIUS IDEA FOR A GAME: Take the great FPS aspects of Far Cry and the large open immersive Sandbox RPG world of Fallout and mix them together.....

If Ubisoft made a zombie game with the FC Dunia engine I think it could be fucking amazing... You could have wilderness and cities, bows n arrows, crossbows and spears like in far cry primal (but more "modern" versions of this stuff) then like 4 player co op or some shit. Idk.
It's not possible that the Far Cry 5 reaches only 30 FPS on the consoles and there is still no option to change that horrible FOV!

It's unfinished for shure. It was pretty laggy (so no optimization till now), no explosion or fire at the exploding truck, the way he shot didn't seem right to me (and as I can see the dog is pretty much like a horse from bf1, indistructible), but one thing is for shure: the game has potential, a lot of it. They have 9 months to take care of this gem and to fix everything. I have only one request: please bring back Hurk and Willis. It wouldn't fell like far cry without them.
Please note: I write these comments using a phone keyboard and mistakes may appear, like: shure instead of sure, and others exist because I'm an idiot: no explosion at the exploding truck (I meant that there was no explosion when he shot the truck).
