Thanks so much for posting this video. I canoed past eagles rock several years ago and have always wanted to go back, never had the chance. One of the most beautiful spots I've seen in Texas. This is the first picture/video I've seen on the web that does it justice. GREAT JOB!!!!
I've flown that place years ago but really want to go back now that I have much better gear. Not sure how to get back there now with all the shifting sands after the big flood last year. Everything is different and property lines seem to be in dispute now.
Thank you for this video. My great grand parents used to live a pebbles roll from the river in Castell tx.. (Their old home is now the junk yard maybe 50 ft from the waters edge off the bridge )But I had never heard of this place.. My great grandfather talked of the falls and rapids but had never put a location or name to them... I , the next time I go back to visit, will deff be trying to find it... So beautiful
This video just made my day because ive climbed eagle rock twice and never took in all the natural beauty of this place, its a trecherous walk there up river from the slab but its worth it 😉
