It's All about what the ocg wants... tcg has been wanting gate guardian support for years and we are finally getting some. (Took awhile) i think they only done it is because dm nostalgia = money.
About the end phase play during the turn at around 14:00, the Artifact player can use Ignition to make their top deck better and set up for their next turn, but they have no reason to commit the double cyclone that turn since they can't special summon for that turn. Cardcar D's special summon restriction is both before and after the effect is activated.
Oh man I played so much of this format back in the day. I’m surprised fire king wasn’t used more. Not many of the decks could handle a self looping dark hole each turn.

Back when I was playing Constellar Artifacts, I would bring back Maxx C with Soul Charge b/c I could bounce it with Pleiades.
Gimme some of that Skill Charge action.
Definitely enjoying mix of past format as well as new format high rated. Wouldn't mind watching something even like eternal format in the future. Looking forward to future content!

Around 21:15 when he milled sage off of hermit and drew he can’t summon sage from hand. Sage is sadly a when eff so it missed timing if anything happens like hermit drawing, princess sprout stacking itself, or field spell discarding for cost to stack.
It doesnt miss timing actually, hermitree is an A and if you do B, which makes A and B simultaneous.
Tbh when I don’t like the format (like now) I basically only watch these old format replays
Some people in the HAT format library Discord call this CAT (Card Car Artifact Traptrix), but I get what you mean when you call it HAT.

Idk about the Maxx c's and the absence of the hands. I think that if we were to go back, lack of Maxx C would make more and more sense becuz control strategies were prominent
D.D. crow probably was a better all around card for the main deck
At 1:30 why set beagalltach? If your opponent happens to blind mst it or blaster it, you get punished having to destroy your real traps
