Reflections about practice of Dhamma: how far the mindfulness needs to be supported by knowledge and reflections, and when the thinking starts to be rather a hindrance.
Motivation to follow and practice BuddhaDhamma seriously will be always a combinations of 3 strands of motivation: 1) consideration of possible bottomless misery in Samsara; 2) unspeakable serene beauty and true fulfillment of existence in the final liberation; and 3) wisdom revealing the utter futility of the whole Samsaric nonsense. Bodhisatta-Path is a noble choice as far it is not an ego cover attempt to rotate in Samsara endlessly. AOttama
Excellent talk. Did you say "it is not the good experiences that keep us on the wheel, but the deeper nastier experiences that keep us on the wheel? Can you elaborate on this? I find this troubling. The Mahayana ethos of the Bodhisattva keeps popping into my mind.
