the holes were covered because of the donut maker's grid.. but it's just a small layer... and there's no problem if it's covered also; if you don't like it you can just puncture it with a small knife.. anyways thank you for watching and i hope you try them out 😀😀

Yeah it's already hot when pouring in the batter. The donuts cook evenly once you close the donut maker
