1:05 Rare, but not by design. I heard a few people mention it being a PPV not headlined by a title fight, but it wasn't the intention of the UFC. Volkanovski vs Holloway 3 and Sterling vs Yan 2 were supposed to be headlining the card. When those fights had to be moved, the Covington vs Masvidal fight became the headliner. McGregor is the only fighter in recent years who's headlined numbered cards by design. Even that BMF belt was created because the actual title fight fell off the card. The initial plan didn't include that fake belt and Masvidal vs Diaz as main event.
yo i noticed you did videos on some stand up comedians specials like brendan and chris and you didn't like them, what do you think of bobby Lee and joey Diaz, there stand up and there podcasts
Masvidal is 37. When you’re that age, people can fall of overnight. I don’t think Masvidal is washed or anything, but Usman knocked him the fuck out after dominating him a year prior. Call a spade a spade- Colby likes sloppy seconds, just like the Tyron Woodley fight.
@@heisensperg9264 well he lost plain and simple. And just like what he did after losing the first time, his immediate next move was to target the highest ranked guy he could get coming off consecutive losses, which just so happened to be another 37 year old that Usman dominated first. Colby called Usman’s (short notice) win over Demian Maia his sloppy seconds- let’s be objective and “keep the same energy”.

Jorge could do a main event of a fight night or co-main a PPV, or he can go the route like Andrei Arlovski has. Either way I would still like to watch him fight, when he is on Jorge is a killer, I can’t say if it’s the high skilled competition he’s faced in his last fights or the hype and fame got to his head but I would really like to see Jorge have a bounce back
Interesting fact about Masvidals headline fights in recent years. He wasn't initially scheduled to headline 272 against Colby or the BMF fight against Diaz. Jorge and Diaz were going to fight as co-main with no belt, but the real title fight fell off the card and they decided to make the BMF belt because it became main event. And 272 was supposed to have Volk vs Holloway 3 and Sterling vs Yan 2, but they fell apart and the Covington vs Masvidal fight replaced as main event. The only numberd cards in recent years created with non title fights by design have been McGregor cards.
If you listened to Greg hardys interview (mma hour) before his first ufc fight, the impression he gave was like he was doing this as punishment. It was really weird. Thanks beige, quality content as usual 👌.
The beginning of the build up to this fight was when I first actually watched some of Colby's interviews and yeah, I was not impressed. Prime McGregor, Sonnen and Bisping had their honest moments here and there (or the shit talk had some truth to it) and it was fairly clear when they were bullshitting or not. Colby, on the other hand, just says the most outlandish, disrespectful shit at all times and being that there's likely 0 truth to it, it's meaningless, boring and worthy of being entirely ignored. It's astonishing so many people buy into it.
Hey, you ever thought of doing collaboration with TheWeasle for MMA analysis? I don't know if he'd do it or anything but it'd almost be like he was a play to play guy with you being the colour personality.
I've fought a fair bit, the idea of having a coach or someone stop the fight when I want to continue is wrong. I'm taking the punches, if I want to continue then I can. Just because you don't like combat doesn't mean I can't fight. Ali Vs foreman, gotta stop the fight Ali just getting beaten up .. not like that was his plan.
What you said about the RDA/Moicano fight was spot on dude. I’m also a Goddard fan, but I think the fact he never stopped the fight was disappointing. Not as disappointing as the doctor though. I feel it’s all too common nowadays with all the eyes on and vested interest in the sport that fighters are being put into dangerous positions for their long term health for sake of letting a fight continue. The flip side though is refs not wanting to get the Cruz treatment after a fight when a fighter is sour about a stoppage. That’s where in situations like this, Kattar, etc, we need the doctors to step up and shoulder some of that burden on making the best decision for the fighters health.
you believing Masvidal would have a modicum of success is a very casual take. What were you basing that on? 3 "wins" where he beat "I always show up for my check" Diaz? or the guy who could barely cut weight to make the limit without dying? or the one which technically wasnt a fight (just him denying paying customers a contest by opening with a flying knee and it actually working because Ben Askren)?
As a physician, the fight doctors the UFC uses are a complete embarrassment. Literally a joke......we (doctors) all laugh about the shit-show every time they head into the ring. If a ref is incapable of determining if a fighter is alert and oriented to person, place, time, and situation.....he shouldn’t be a ref. Joint instability is COMPLETELY up to the fighter. Torn knee ligaments cannot end a fight, unless the fighter wants it. The cuts extending into the eyelid.....again, if you have eyeballs, you can see it, and already know where eyelid skin starts and stops. A physician should always be present, but only for severe injury or prolonged loss of consciousness.....to stabilize the situation until EMTs get in the octagon, and can take them to the hospital. EVERYTHING else should be up to the ref.

Great vid Beige! Did you check out Eagle FC 46 over the week? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the event as a whole, but mostly the Lee - Sanchez main event as well as the "commentary" from Triple C
Damn I never get updated when you post. Good thing I check about once a week lol.
Beige , I think you are a very talented documentarian. Four hours plus devoted to creating a film on Anthony Cumia, I just think you are above that, but after seeing it I can only derive that you are obsessed with the former Long Island jock.
He's a whole hater
He's literally the definition of a jealous hater
Keep hiding that ugly mug beige
1:05 Rare, but not by design. I heard a few people mention it being a PPV not headlined by a title fight, but it wasn't the intention of the UFC. Volkanovski vs Holloway 3 and Sterling vs Yan 2 were supposed to be headlining the card. When those fights had to be moved, the Covington vs Masvidal fight became the headliner. McGregor is the only fighter in recent years who's headlined numbered cards by design. Even that BMF belt was created because the actual title fight fell off the card. The initial plan didn't include that fake belt and Masvidal vs Diaz as main event.
i love this guys videos i almost watched all of them already lolll
Hey Beige would love to hear your thoughts on Joe List's new special. I thought it was pretty pretty pretyyyyy good
yo i noticed you did videos on some stand up comedians specials like brendan and chris and you didn't like them, what do you think of bobby Lee and joey Diaz, there stand up and there podcasts
Oh I'm sure he hates them too, he hates literally anyone who's successful
Makes him think about his shitty life
Interesting how people weren't saying Masvidal was shot when Usman beat him but when Colby does "Aw Masvidal is so old"
Masvidal is 37. When you’re that age, people can fall of overnight. I don’t think Masvidal is washed or anything, but Usman knocked him the fuck out after dominating him a year prior. Call a spade a spade- Colby likes sloppy seconds, just like the Tyron Woodley fight.
@@sochioranmyaku Yeah Colby's a bum it's not like he fought Usman to what should have been a draw
@@sochioranmyaku He only lost technically lol anyone with eyes can see that fight was a draw I love how Colby detractors can't give him any credit at all I'm not a big Usman fan but he's a great fighter with a very good resume
Your voice is soothing as hell Bro 😂 no offense meant at all, but I love playing your videos as I go to sleep! Shits like a lullaby!
Great job! Thank you
You’re videos have a special character, not sure what it is, but it’s good. I liked that intro music a lot too, should’ve put it on this one too
Hey Beige what would you think of Masvidal vs Wonderboy 2 might be a good chance to get two older fighter some shine. This isn’t a money fight but it would be for the hardcore sports
Best picture yet Beige
Well done, I have enjoyed listening you 👍
Jorge could do a main event of a fight night or co-main a PPV, or he can go the route like Andrei Arlovski has.
YOU DESERVE SO MANY SUBS!!!!
You’re a damn good artist.
If you listened to Greg hardys interview (mma hour) before his first ufc fight, the impression he gave was like he was doing this as punishment. It was really weird.
Thanks beige, quality content as usual 👌.
Colby is a an amazing fighter, like him or not, he is incredible.
I’m addicted to these videos
The beginning of the build up to this fight was when I first actually watched some of Colby's interviews and yeah, I was not impressed. Prime McGregor, Sonnen and Bisping had their honest moments here and there (or the shit talk had some truth to it) and it was fairly clear when they were bullshitting or not. Colby, on the other hand, just says the most outlandish, disrespectful shit at all times and being that there's likely 0 truth to it, it's meaningless, boring and worthy of being entirely ignored. It's astonishing so many people buy into it.
6:16 Dustin's already up 2-1 against the Tap/Nap/Crack Machine, so no need to "Moreno-Figueiredo" this ;)
Hey, you ever thought of doing collaboration with TheWeasle for MMA analysis? I don't know if he'd do it or anything but it'd almost be like he was a play to play guy with you being the colour personality.
I've fought a fair bit, the idea of having a coach or someone stop the fight when I want to continue is wrong. I'm taking the punches, if I want to continue then I can. Just because you don't like combat doesn't mean I can't fight. Ali Vs foreman, gotta stop the fight Ali just getting beaten up .. not like that was his plan.
Your sketch at the beginning looks just like George Bush
I found this comment 14 mins in and looked and sure enough, I can see it lol.
Anyone got a link for the general drawing setup used here? I’m a lowly newb
I was waiting for it bro
How'd you feel about Diego's performance the other day beige?
Beige where you at man?!
You should be releasing a videos on Brendan Schaubs downfall right now.
It’s happening in real time.
Masvidal's name value has dropped to a level where he will be the next stepping stone for the next prospect they want to promote.
Another fair take. You clearly love MMA and have a passion for the sport.
Man Colby really hurt your feelings beige. His antics are cringe for sure but as the saying goes, don’t hate the player hate the game.
Please do these after each ufc ppv
a beige blessing :)
Hey beige do you like any other professional sport? Or just mma?
I actually like the Leon fight for Masvidal. One of the few that would garner some real attention at this point.
you believing Masvidal would have a modicum of success is a very casual take. What were you basing that on? 3 "wins" where he beat "I always show up for my check" Diaz? or the guy who could barely cut weight to make the limit without dying? or the one which technically wasnt a fight (just him denying paying customers a contest by opening with a flying knee and it actually working because Ben Askren)?
can't wait for that jon jones part 2 video man, keep it up
On point with your opinions as always.
From the recent news it looks like Mazdvidal also having some belated thoughts.
Yo do you watch the weasel? I think u 2 would work
Hoping you do a new vid on Bupa
You should change you channel name to beige infrequent uploads
It’s entertainment sir.
I don’t know how I would feel exactly if I found out my trusted doctor/physician’s CZcams name was “doodoo poop” lmao. I’m not exactly talking shit dude (no pun intended) but I just had to get this observation out there
@@raywhite6258 I don’t know if I could trust ANY professional who had the youtube handle of Dr. First Name Last Name, MD.
I can speak freely as Dr. Doodoo Poop.
Jorge was having some success early on, but all it took was one takedown from Colby to make Jorge lose all his confidence. He stopped throwing any kicks and dramatically lowered his output. From there on Colby just outworked him. The real sour note is how much of a sore loser Jorge is being.
Relaxing art n MMA thank you
“Dollar store chael” how ? Man people really can’t accept that Covington is a star lmao
To call Colby a “Dollar Store Chael” is the most incel comment ever. Colby has generated more heat than Chael ever did and he has undoubtedly more success in the UFC
Lol
@@troutsy6897 Chael’s career record in the UFC is 7-7
Colby’s record is 12-3
I’m assuming that you dislike Colby more than you dislike Chael, like most people do
So LOL away dummy
Do u have a podcast?
How the fuck do you keep a straight face reading out those names at the end. 🤣🤝
