- In this episode i am doing a Fx Impact air gun discussion on my favorite air gun for precision shooting and air gun hunting. I discuss my air gun setup on question that most new air gun competitive shooters and air gun hunting shooters ask. In this video i share technical information on the Fx Impact M3 air gun for competitive shooting and air gun hunting. Shooters who owns a Fx Impact for the first time and need information will find this episode very help full. This video is a discussion of the Fx Impact and certain features that it has and also trouble shooting guide for beginners. The Fx Impact air gun is famous for shooting the heavy air gun hunting slugs and air gun hunting pellets. I am air gun hunting sportsman and i also do competitive air gun shooting for a career. My air gun hunting setups is the most important for me for delivering raw power on accuracy with heavy air gun hunting slugs. I love competitive precision shooting and air gun hunting and it is part of my lifestyle. I love to help air gun hunters and competitive air gun shooters and this is why i try to answer and guide as many people as what i can in this episode. The Fx Impact is such a icon in the air gun hunting and competitive shooting platforms. The Fx Impact is by far the king of all air gun hunting airguns and my favorite air gun of all time for precision shooting. I love to do air gun precision shooting with my Fx Impact across the world and it is part of my career. As a professional marksman i love to teach other air gun hunting shooters the best i can when it comes to shooting skill and good hunting ethics. I want to set a good example to other air gun hunting and competitive shooters out there. In this latest episode on the Fx Impact you can find good data to use as a air gun hunting shooter and air gun competitive shooter as well. I work close with air gun manufacturer Fx Airguns on developing the Fx Impact and i work with HN Sports that has been developing fire arm bullets and air gun hunting ammo for over a 100 years now. My goal is to advance the sport of air gun hunting and competitive shooting and making this passion a reality for most out there that love air guns as much as what i do. @@Soldis-vq5xg , Bottle gauge or second reg gauge? Remove bottle, drain air from Your gun and then unscrew reg just a bit to feel is it seated properly. There should be a seal in the bottom of reg hole in the block. Check that seal. Replace if needed. FX do not use thread sealant on gauges!

On the barrel housing you removed the gun bluing on did you use anything on it to protect it from rusting afterwards.

Regarding your comments on a floating barrel, what are your thoughts on the various barrel tensioning systems and the TRS rail barrel clamp?

Great video. If you want to be more accurate with your scope height measurement. Measure from the top of the tube or objective, to the bottom of the barrel and subtract the radius of each.

I love it but now really intimidated on how to maintain when I purchase my FX I'm very close to getting an entire system but now nervous because here in Texas I don't know where to get someone to assist if I need to repair or have an issue to fix something I broke by not knowing. your videos are so knowledgeable but also a lot to know and understand. A few point will work. similar dua to the dual reg settings and pressures but the hammer weight of both gun differ to much to compare fully

Gerhard,how come you or everyone else doesn't make videos for .35 in depth, like other calibers?
According to FX the first regular should never be set higher than 170 BAR, and the second regulator (for pellets) at 85-90 BAR for .177, 70-75 BAR for .22, 90-95 BAR for .25, 100-105 for .30 and 130-135 BAR for .35, so are yours slug recommendations?

I heard you say something very important to me: you're a trained and qualified airgun technician. So: how do you become one?
Since there is no reliable service directly around where I live, and the good service points have a waiting list of 4 to 6 weeks there seems to be gap worth filling in.
I've been shooting airguns for over a decade now and recently became very interested in the technology behind it. I watch about every channel I can get info from (like the FX Masterclass, Matt Dubbers Airgun Ballistics 101, ...) but I would really like to become a qualified technician as well. So, is there somewhere I can get a decent training? Tried googeling for it, but all the hits were for firearms. Can you help out?

What is the normal life of all the important O rings in the gun ; never fill beyond 225 bar ; regulator pressure is 110 bar; and mostly shooting on 5 hammer pressure Gerard plz throw light

If it light weight slugs it will be ok but two heavy weights could cause barrel jam

How do you index your liner ??
What I do is I make a mark with a pen on the muzzle end. Index liner with mark at 12 o clock position. After this I will make sure my scope is mechanicale zero. From here I will shoot groups on paper out at 50yds. I usually check my left and right movements of the group and index the liner tawards the direction. I will do a video abit more in detail on this in the future to come

Free floating? Everyone else is pushing barrel tensioners. I know that the impact barrel moves alot, especially if you rest the barrel on a bag, it is WAY OFF. like feet off.
Thats easy to fix.....DO NOT REST YOUR BARREL ON ANYTHING....thats pretty much common sense
