- Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is making waves right now for all the right reasons. Figured I might as well hope on the hype train. Great animation, great story, great characters, a great OST. This might be my favorite anime of Summer 2023.

that shit you told about FMAB - so relatable, goddam. And its influence on JJK S1 felt same as well
Your opinion on the jokes were spot on. So many anime comedy’s miss the mark for me because they insist on making the reactions from other characters the punch line instead of making the actual joke funny. But for season 2 the comedy is working for me! Hope it continues!
I won't let you gaslight me into watching this show...
Embrace the shonen shlock
Amazing video be careful because the. Manga readers are abhorrent with spoilers and they will spoil you because they think that everyone has read the manga
Just a small disagreement. Chainsaw mans first episode is one of the best produced episodes that the industry has given in several years.
The CGI in it is also spot on, the internet just doesn’t know shit about anything, more specifically anime twitter
He finally watching peak
Also your gonna love Shibuya District
I've heard it's kino. I'm pretty hyped for it.
@@CulturedCrusader It's so good
I won't spoil but as soon as you see yuji enter a bathroom get hyped(this sounds weird but makes sense)
@@CulturedCrusader SPOILER
Yuji shits himself
I love JJK (manga and anime). My biggest issue with both is the pacing. I feel like the story moves so fast that i missed key details on my first watch/read. At least with the manga, i can take my time and reread a page if i get lost, but you cant do that with a show. Im afraid season 2 will exacerbate the pacing issues, especially as we move into the next arc.
I'm glad someone talked about s1's humor. It's not necessarily bad, but it's not leveled out with many emotional and impactful character moments. Humor is used as a substitute for true character writing at times, so it leaves everything feeling... shallow. Only Yujii had decent development, with the last 2 episodes starting to develop Nobara and Megumi. But it was too little too late.
That's why the hidden inventory arc is so well liked because it has a way better balance between humor and impactful character moments. It even has symbolism that helps characterization. It just has a lot of detail and care, which is why it's so disappointing that MAPPA treats its artists like this.
"Consistantly off-model for no reason"
Well there was a reason for Jigo's off models and it was because they just didn't have time to correct those models. Hell's paradise shared "Animation producer" with Aot and Vinland saga, Animation producer is the person who contacts animators and gathers the team to work on the show. Hp's animation producer prioritized Aot and Vinland over Hp. So they just didn't have time or talented ppl to work on the show.
I meant sometimes going off model is a stylistic choice but for Hell's Paradise it was just because of production issues
I still have to see season 2 but i will guess you did a good cover on it
finally someone said it about season 1
it just made me angry how "meh" it was
I don't think JJK will ever be more than a "cool moments" generator for me, Toji, Geto, Yuta, Maki, and Todo in particular are awesome characters on screen presence alone, the rest can die for all I care. I think it's most successful "emotional" bit was when it copied Eva's homework for the movie, which felt actually meaningful despite being a bit shallow.
Chill on Nakayama lol, he is taking too many L's at this point. Japanese ppl hated his adaptation/vision for csm, he was bullied and harassed for months on Twitter, the CSM Blu ray flopped, and many credible leakers came out and said csm s2 will have a new director and Nakayama is being replaced.
His reputation among Japanese anime fans is not good so he has not being able to work on a single project after csm yet. Ppl are speculating he is gonna work on JJK s2 but I doubt it since he has not retweeted anything related to jjk yet. Just feels sad man I hope he gets another chance, I don't want another Wakayabashi case again where animator pretty much lost his career due to being too creative.
Wakayabashi was the one who directed Naruto vs Pain episode, and he was heavily criticised for that fight. After that he never directed any important or big episodes and only stuck to Boruto fillers and some minor fights in bleach.
about a year after? what do you think?
That first arc of season two was still my favorite part overall. I also liked the rest of the season more than season 1 but there were some plot revelations I wasn't too keen on.
Why are you making it hard to understand why you like the second season more? The explanations are out of the way so it's more action and less talking, the unimportant characters are out of the way so it's just Gojo showing off, you got used to its vibe so you passed the uncanny valley, and above all IT'S AIRING RIGHT NOW so you are hyped.
