All of my vehicles run the best reliability / power combination I can afford at the time running on 91. I like driving my cars to places. I can always find 91 everywhere I can go, with no extra hassle. If that isn't your priority... there's nothing wrong with that. Do what makes you happy. I've gotten to the point that where I'm fairly content. Instead of eking every last drop of performance from a car to be happy, it may be a better idea to move up to a new car. I realize there's always a faster car. But I do respect the mechanical/ engineering mindset of seeing what you can do. I'd just prefer to go to the track and try to improve the human aspect of performance that way.
If I’m in cali with 91 octane and if I’m gonna be running e30 Do i just always just put 3 gallons of e85 and the rest 91 so it’s “E30” mix just curious so I know what I’m doing lol
I usually put in 4 gallons e85 on my 13 focus st stage 3 e30 tuned step one colder plugs with 93 topped off . My tuner said since I have 3 inch exhaust with cat less down pipe I run 20.5 pounds of boost because my turbo didn’t have to work as hard to hit the target load .. I tested the e85 and it’s legit true number so my tuner said 4 gallons is safe ..
The two tunes that you said were the same, are actually different. One says NEC and one says LEC. LEC means it’s the tune WITH pops and crackles. NEC is the tune WITHOUT pops and crackles. (No Exhaust Crackles) and (Loud Exhaust Crackles)
I am stratified tuned for 91 oct but i added two gallons of e85, which got rid of negative corrections under normal driving and oct learn rat. Is -1, is it okay for me to drive this way as my car seems to like it or should I get tuned for the e30
E30 offers extra power on stock car for just the cost of a tune or in his case the tune and AP. Methanol injection requires extra hardware to get relatively the same power output. E30 is also its own fail safe because you cant run out mid-drive since its your fuel and not an additive.
That is super awesome man. Damn wish we got E85 in Africa. We just get 95 RON here (I think it is 91 in the States), shit, I need to tweet Donald so he can sign my a greencard haha and visit that side lol :-)
See if there's a difference? 20 hp and with two people in the car.... Not based on science but emotion? How much do your heads weight? 20 hp/200 lbs/ 2 tenths of second/2 mph in the 1/4 mile. I run E40 but as power goes up and you aren't on the stock turbo anymore it's not viable. My car does 13.1@102 full weight on slicks
You guys should be more accurate doing your mix.. Get the online calculator for mixing.. I do exactly 3gals of e85 and 8gals of 93 and it gives me e30 and a 96.7% octane rating.
So you mixed the gas first and then added the tune? I want to do the same to my fusion 2.0l T I have the tune already installed on the device but not the car yet
The driving clip At the beginning - how do u drive like that? I mean go through the gears like that? When I shift say from 1st to 2nd the car jumps and it doesn't feel smooth. Sorry if it's a vague question I'm just wanting to understand how to get smooth shifts at high rpms. Thanks
I wrecked my 94 eagle talon tsi a few months after I bought it doing it, First manual car too. I hit a crazy dip after a 4th gear pull in neutral in a turn. I asked my step brother to come that day. He would've died if he came.
want a true test to feel any differences? Have the owner load a tune before each set of pulls (maybe do 3 pulls on each tune). Maybe sometimes he wont even switch tunes..but you think he did. The owner wont tell you which pull had which tune. Match the ACTUAL E30 tunes with the 'it feels faster' tunes and see how accurate it is vs a 'butt dyno feel'. I've heard it is a noticeable difference going E30...but any time you KNOW you've made a modification, hell it could be a "New Car" scented air freshener, the car FEELS faster in your head lol
Yeah I've followed enough of your video's to know basically what bolt on's your boys have. But I figured that there would be some sort of gasket swap or something to accommodate the difference in the burn temperature of the fuel. I think that most cars have parts that are high quality enough to handle it, but wasn't sure.
+Brian Pierce the tune is the main factor man. If you car know how to burn the fuel correctly. There shouldn't be an issue. But personally just a tune isn't a enough for me haha you already know
+Stephen Dagnall go to auto zone and pick up the blue leds! It's much faster than n ordering yourself. In sure a employee can find you the exact ones you need
nickalaj1 I have the E30 tune. When you get the stratified tune you can switch between 3 tunes 91,93 and E30. I live the e30 tune so much I go out of my way just to fill up all the time. Dyno at 292 hp with 390lbs of torque.
If your method is 3 gallons of E85, and the rest 93 or 91, then you are definitely not running true E30. Your numbers are going to be way off. Download the ethanol content calculator, and buy a ethanol test kit! Get scientific with that shit bro, don't be guessing.
i have the mbrp and that shit sounds real good. I have people telling me my resonator delete and muffler delete sounds better then a roush lol...I stayed away from that and MBRP is hella cheaper. Just saying check them out
Stewart Rolen freektune is just a better option , justin at freek has more than proven hes a great tunner . He currently holds the record for fastes 1/4 mile on his speed 3
What makes you think freektune "is just a better option"? Both tuners are great and have proven they are great, don't put another company down just because in your opinion one is better. I run stratified and will stay that way, but don't have anything against freek, he is great but I love my strat tune.
martinez You would be happy to know that freektune can also do the cracks and pops, just found that out yesterday from a thread freektune responded to.
+Joshua Cao not dumb dude. So he actually has a 91/e30 tune so his car actually knows what gas is in the car at any given time so he can run either whenever he wants. And as for 93 it is the same. If you get the right tune you can run either or just as well
You will need a tune for e30. Once you got a tune for e30, you can always switch back to 91/93 tune okn your map slot.. does not have e30 yet, but i heard that's how they do it
I like the beginning. Passenger was holding on like he was in a 1000hp GTR lol!
😂 lmaoooo
Nice car, but I honestly can't stand the blue lights in the interior.
All of my vehicles run the best reliability / power combination I can afford at the time running on 91. I like driving my cars to places. E85 is more reliable depending on the use lol
You can just get a dual map for 91 and e30
Rip you downloaded the .NEC tune (no exhaust crackles) and not the .LEC tune (loud exhaust crackles)
Great vid tho eh!
You should look at those files before down loading them.
I'm a new member to the st community 😌😌
Winfred Burney are you still a st enthusiast?
E30 on this platform is never a question.
"Dude that's fire"
Shaking his head. I thought he was gonna say "I dont really like it..."
E30 tune should only be about 20whp or so difference give or take 5whp at that power level. Still a very nice difference for switching fuel.
riothero313 with a bigger turbo an e30 tune can net 40whp and loads of tq. Even stock turbo it's a cheap mod considering it's just a tune
I'm doing e30 but with 93 octane and it made a huge difference. Stage 3 e30 is insane
Christopher Barcelo im currently running stage 3 with jst tune. Now i wanna pull the trigger on e30!
If I’m in cali with 91 octane and if I’m gonna be running e30
Do i just always just put 3 gallons of e85 and the rest 91 so it’s
“E30” mix just curious so I know what I’m doing lol

Finally got my st after motor was replaced and found a decent sized shaving on the plug so my st dreams may be over already 😔
Was that a black and white cali license plate and if it is how do I get my hands on 1
NEC is no exhaust crackles, LEC is Loud exhaust crackles
The LEC tune is the one with loud crackles and the other tune is the one with no crackles.
theres two tunes because one is for loud pops and the other is for normal to no pops
I am stratified tuned for 91 oct but i added two gallons of e85, which got rid of negative corrections under normal driving and oct learn rat. Is -1, is it okay for me to drive this way as my car seems to like it or should I get tuned for the e30
This makes me want St as new daily
wouldn't meth injection be much much better than E30?
E30 offers extra power on stock car for just the cost of a tune or in his case the tune and AP. Methanol injection requires extra hardware to get relatively the same power output. E30 is also its own fail safe because you cant run out mid-drive since its your fuel and not an additive.

Where's he get those blue lights ?
I have stratified and I think I'm going E30. Except I don't have 91 so mine will be mixed with 93 octane top tier.
Todd Whalen even better lol
91 and 93 the same
They're are the same. Only difference i can think of is difference in detergents for cleaning up or preventing carbon deposits
need to let it mix 30miles then you really feel it from 93 to e30
I was just thinking that you wouldn't immediately feel anything until the fuel mixes more
Only takes 10 minutes
What exhaust does he have
You from Bakersfield I didn’t know
What's the ambient lighting he has?
Bro i want to do the blue interior lights in my 2016 st.... Brand and price please
Blue lights in your car? That's gay!
I also have blue lights in my car :| gay.
Yo que pasa ya no contestas en tu canal
e30 vs 93oct tune should be around a two car gain. i wpuld run 3.5 gal of e83 if not 4 gal of e85. just in case your e85 station has week e85
You guys should be more accurate doing your mix.. Get the online calculator for mixing.. I do exactly 3gals of e85 and 8gals of 93 and it gives me e30 and a 96.7% octane rating.
+Jeff Smith you're right. We are doing it the Mickey mouse way lol
Jeff Smith ran e30 for two years, just run e35 and you'll be fine. it counts for any mess ups.
your faces are priceless xd
Got E30 on the fusion 😎😎
BoostedFusion how? Livernois won't support it for me...
SqueezeTriggas I'm tuned my Stratified, they have it for the fusion
Bro, I've been trying to find people with fusions that have an e30 tune on theirs. You got build thread?
Is your guys E85 actual E85? Here in az the E85 is E54 when tested.
So tune alone? Stock fuel system? E30?
Yup
So you mixed the gas first and then added the tune? I want to do the same to my fusion 2.0l T I have the tune already installed on the device but not the car yet
How was this held up? Reliable?
The driving clip At the beginning - how do u drive like that? I mean go through the gears like that? When I shift say from 1st to 2nd the car jumps and it doesn't feel smooth. Sorry if it's a vague question I'm just wanting to understand how to get smooth shifts at high rpms. Thanks
Putting it in nuteral and coasting? Ltd
I wrecked my 94 eagle talon tsi a few months after I bought it doing it, First manual car too. I hit a crazy dip after a 4th gear pull in neutral in a turn. I asked my step brother to come that day. He would've died if he came.
They don't even sell 93 here, where the fuck can I get e30
Bill Palmer You mix it yourself. From a nearly empty tank, put in however much e85 you need, then top off with 93 octane.
what tune did you have to start with?
Keep your right hand on the stick shift when blasting through the gears. It's quicker and you won't miss a gear in shifts.
Do you guys in america not have Shell V-Power or Nitro +? they are rated at 97 & 99RON already in the UK....
+RocketRossUK that's where we were. At shell. But ours is rated at 91oct being the highest
so is your E30 combo the equivalent to like 97 or 99 then?
+RocketRossUK I would think so man. Cos our 91 should be equivalent to your 95
No 93 in your area?
your 99ron is the same as our 93oct in the states
How much psi are you getting
The car will need at least 20 miles of driving before the new fuel kicks in.
want a true test to feel any differences?
Have the owner load a tune before each set of pulls (maybe do 3 pulls on each tune).
Maybe sometimes he wont even switch tunes..but you think he did.
The owner wont tell you which pull had which tune.
Match the ACTUAL E30 tunes with the 'it feels faster' tunes and see how accurate it is vs a 'butt dyno feel'.
I've heard it is a noticeable difference going E30...but any time you KNOW you've made a modification, hell it could be a "New Car" scented air freshener, the car FEELS faster in your head lol
So this was just a tune change? You didn't need to modify the engine in any way to get this flowing?
+Brian Pierce he already had all regular bolt ons. But I've heard people just getting a time and that's it!
But personally just a tune isn't a enough for me haha you already know
lol yeah. Your channel has inspired me to keep tuning my '14 ST. Bought it used and the guy before me did some half ass work with really good parts..
No I run E40
how much hp does the car has ?
So he didn’t have to change his fuel pump or injectors for e85?
+william delgado he only went e30. If he were to go full e85 then yes he would need those things
What happeneds if u Do the E30 Blend Without the Tune??
+Victor Villegas your car won't know what kind of fuel it's using. Which would be real bad haha
Victor Villegas Ethanol is a different weight/density than regular gasoline. If you don't adjust your fuel trim by tuning, your car will stall.
Dylan Delomprey damn. Now that's a good answer. Thanks man. I was wondering.
What about throwing in 101 how does that do without a tune?
you can run up to e15 on stock tune, and you'll feel the difference in tq, but no power gains. drives much better
E15. How much is that Blend? A gallon of Ethanol and the rest 91?
on the black focus where did jojo get the extra front bumper piece by the fog lights. sorry dont know the name of that thing
+Dan St-Amour the strap? I'm pretty sure just amazon or something. Tow strap for focus st. Try searching that up
Koriginal ST no not the strap its the add on body kit to to the bottom of his front bumper by the fogs
Its fifteen52 cupspoilers :)
did he paint his plates? or do you guys in Cali just have an option for a black playe
+Joshuabrutl nah man we have a few options and i chose the classic option ha
Koriginal ST wish we had all black plates here in Illinois
Joshuabrutl could be worse you could be in the uk..our plates are shit
Mods list and hp
1 Map no crackles and the other loud crackles if it the same as mine :)
+safekraka yep he thought he had no crackle he was sad lol
What kind of exhaust does he have
+Jordan Ludeman mbrp exhaust and downpipe
why 91 ...dont have 93 ...
Where / how did you change all your interior lights to Blue? Any links?
+Stephen Dagnall go to auto zone and pick up the blue leds! It's much faster than n ordering yourself. In sure a employee can find you the exact ones you need
Koriginal ST thanks but I’m UK based
Also isn’t it a sealed unit? Did you have to solder the bulbs in?
+Stephen Dagnall not at all! All plug n play. I have a video on it if your interested
+Stephen Dagnall in the video i made has links
goes straight E85
How's daily driving on e30???
nickalaj1 I have the E30 tune. When you get the stratified tune you can switch between 3 tunes 91,93 and E30. I live the e30 tune so much I go out of my way just to fill up all the time. Dyno at 292 hp with 390lbs of torque.
Actually your supposed to have everything off in the car when tuning.
No you’re not🤦🏻♂️
So do you need a flex fuel kit just to run e30
The st comes with flex fuel stock
Erik Stokholm not all of them do
can you do this without the tune?
+TheBeastlyBeaver no you cannot
Ya go for it
Are you guys from SoCal STRS?
+Christian Medina were from socal but idk about strs haha
If your method is 3 gallons of E85, and the rest 93 or 91, then you are definitely not running true E30. Your numbers are going to be way off. Download the ethanol content calculator, and buy a ethanol test kit! Get scientific with that shit bro, don't be guessing.
Yo... whats E30? no clue whats happening here
+Zuko Kinger e30 is when you mix 30% of e85 with 70% of 91oct. It's just fuel types dude
Whats the best exhaust for a focus st?
+MrFAMA5 I would say borla or cobb. I haven't heard too many in person
Do you think roush is any good?
+MrFAMA5 never heard it in person.. I couldn't say man. But through video it doesn't sound that great
I love my roush exhaust. It is loud though especially combined with a catless DP.
i have the mbrp and that shit sounds real good. I have people telling me my resonator delete and muffler delete sounds better then a roush lol...I stayed away from that and MBRP is hella cheaper. Just saying check them out
you should e45 it
You know stock fuel lines will corrode with Ethanol right?
DeFreshS10 no it won't
yes they will
Ethanol is in all gas here in america, so no it won't.
Your dumb spreading false knowledge please stick to miata and 240 there slow and cheap leave the fast cars for the educated passionate car people..
DeFreshS10 full e85 u need to change the lines yes not e30
What are your insta @s???
Spoiler Alert: Yes, you should go e30 :)
+mpa420 mhm!
Go with freektune not stratified
What's wrong with Stratified?
Stewart Rolen freektune is just a better option , justin at freek has more than proven hes a great tunner . He currently holds the record for fastes 1/4 mile on his speed 3
What makes you think freektune "is just a better option"? Both tuners are great and have proven they are great, don't put another company down just because in your opinion one is better. I run stratified and will stay that way, but don't have anything against freek, he is great but I love my strat tune.
martinez You would be happy to know that freektune can also do the cracks and pops, just found that out yesterday from a thread freektune responded to.
A lot of people who have been going stratified have been having there engines shit the bed.....
Dumb question but can you still fill up 93 with a e30 tune?
+Joshua Cao not dumb dude. So he actually has a 91/e30 tune so his car actually knows what gas is in the car at any given time so he can run either whenever he wants. And as for 93 it is the same. If you get the right tune you can run either or just as well
You will need a tune for e30. Once you got a tune for e30, you can always switch back to 91/93 tune okn your map slot.. does not have e30 yet, but i heard that's how they do it
Buy an RS then more power
Should have stayed jstuned
Uh so you installed the tune before he actually ran a e30 mix..... that's not good...
No i dont think they ran the car with the e30 tune they can run 91 by itself with an e30/91 tune
He installed a combo tune which means he can shift tunes on the fly. He was fine.
Adam Macaluso im confused. So you can have a tune with 91/e30 together in 1 map slot???
Charles Cruz - Yes, stratified allows you to have up to 5 fuel type tunes in a single slot.
Lmao my wrx would smoke that shit
You kids have bad manners, talking with mouth full, bad grammar. Geez, we could do an episode of: are you smarter than a 5th grader. LOL.
