- So excited to share this comparison video and demo of the new Shark Flex Style vs the Dyson Airwrap. There really has no been a competitor in the multi-attachment dryer and styler space, so this was an exciting release for me!
I purchased both devices with my own money and this review is not sponsored. (Not that I take any issue with sponsored posts!) Just thought I'd mention because I do feel like it's important on comparison videos.

I don’t mind the extra heat as it makes the curl tighter and more lasting and I only need to do my hair once a week so heat damage isn’t an issue for me…
Both sides look great because your hair (color, style, etc.) is beautiful! However, the Dyson side does look better to me, it looked smoother, shinier, and thicker.
I ordered a Dyson the first day of the Sephora sale. Getting 20% off is a big incentive for me. Hopefully my Dyson will be here this week sometime. This video is a great comparison. Thank you!
I'm so glad to hear that Dyson is included in the Sephora annual sale. I used the 20% coupon at Ulta and it made a huge difference for me too. It's such a pricey purchase, even tho0ugh I use it every day now. I have a Dyson tips video that I've filmed and just need to edit (decided to get this one up first!) There is a bit of a learning curve with the Dyson, but I do think it's worth sticking with it. I hope you like it, let me know what you think and thank you about this video :)

Great review! I really think the Dyson side of your hair was shinier than the shark side. I just purchased the Shark and ut hasn’t arrived yet. I debated the size for a long time. I have arthritis in my hands. The diffuser and pivot neck really change my mind. I wasn’t sure that the the shape was worth the extra money. But seeing your review I am debating sending it back. I also agree about the metal on the brush attachments. Always love getting your opinions on things! Light therapy for aging?

Thank you for the review. I couldn't decide which to get as in the uk the shark has come on qvc for 24 hours on offer and it comes with a case and I wanted to decide whether to buy the shark or wait for the dyson. I'm waiting for the dyson as I love their hair straighteners x thanks again

Is either one dual voltage for travel?
I purchased the special edition black shark flexstyle during the Sephora rouge sale for $296. Then I purchased the new curling barrels and round brush attachments from the Shark website for $75. I also just purchased the Dyson airwrap for 20% off and redeemed my points making it $240. I have fine hair and feel that the shark brush attachments are way too harsh on my hair. I'm pretty sure that I am going to end up keeping my Dyson and selling my Shark. I'm still playing around with them but I think my mind is made up. I think the shark is good for people with thicker hair.
Is it true that after straightening your hair with shark it will get frizzy ?
@@sansuad8908 I don't get frizzy hair ever because my hair is naturally smooth and straight so unfortunately I wouldn't know.
Could you put the Shark tools in the Dyson storage box? I’ve seen the Dyson boxes sold separately.

How did the curls last?
I clipped both sides as soon as they came out of the curling attachments and the Dyson lasted longer. Shark still looked nice though, just got much looser, faster. I hope this helps!

I just checked, they are sold out at the moment on the airwraps. I'll update the links to reflect that and keep checking if they add more to their store!
Even if the attachments are cheaper you don't need all of them and have no choice lol so why pay for what you don't need who cares if it's cheaper per item if it's mandatory to buy all of them🤔🤔
Dyson does have a build your own option on their site, but I do wish they would come out with a "no frills" mid-price-point option for people wanting only a couple of attachments. It's such a great tool with how they engineered the heat to be lower, but still effective for styling.
But shark gives you more volume
