Unfortunately I am in Pop Jail at the current moment, when it comes to Amex Hilton Aspire. I do have current Amex Hilton Honors with Gold Status through Amex Platinum. I do get upgrade offers to Surpass & Aspire with no SUB.

Thanks for your comment! That's unfortunate that you're currently blocked from upgrade or new card SUBs - but even Pop-up jail will disappear one day. ;-)
However, having the Amex Hilton Honors with Gold Status is still a great perk, especially in the US, as most of the hotels don't have executive lounges anyway anymore - so one of the main diamond benefits is worthless anyway. Outside the US it looks differently. In my opinion, the Aspire makes sense, if you frequently stay at Hiltons. With few nights per year, it probably doesn't make too much difference, if you earn additional 7 points per $ spent or 14. And all the other benefits, like free night certificates or this $250 resort credit also only make sense in certain cases.
I'm planning a video on that topic in the next 1-2 weeks to explain in more detail for whom the Aspire is a must and for whom not.
