That Gavroche moment got me good. The acting! The tonality in the vocal, the halt in the middle of the phrase, the way the arm falls and he drops on the body. I replayed and replayed that moment.
I am so happy that you included I Am The One from Next to Normal. I personally don’t think it receives the credit it deserves. It is such a fantastic musical, yet few people include it in their compilations. Thank you!!!

When first saw home from Beetlejuice I balled my eyes out the acting is on point has anyone seen Sophia Anne Caruso run OFF the stage because the song is so emotional poor girl
@@Hunter-ef4ch I guess we'll never now. Maybe she didn't fell that bad until it was too late, so she just needed to finish the show. And I heard that later that day in second performance Presley played Lydia.

I was Daniel in a local production of “Once on this island” and when this video says it’s one of the saddest moments, it’s not wrong. I had to try the hardest I have ever tried in my life not to cry on stage, the person playing Ti Moune was so amazing it was so hard not to let all of my tears out
Same! I never really realized how deep and emotional the scene and the song were until I saw a video of Sam, I now feel horrible for dancing around to it
Next to Normal was so fking intense. Aaron Tveit was so good. I saw with Alice Ripley’s understudy... my friend was bawling thinking about her mom who had bipolar disorder 😭
AHHHH these videos make me tear up!! When you pulled out Once On This Island and 21 Chump Street ( I'm a huge Anthony Ramos stan soo) i knew i was going to start crying *shattering noise* you hear that? that's my heart
I am PISSED that I can hear people laughing during these songs. Especially AYWD-Six. That's about a 13 year old getting raped and emotionally abused idk about u but that's not funny and does fucking happen
I feel you. I don’t believe it’s an accident though that the show is choreographed that way and that they perform it like that. Of course we’re uncomfortable who knows the story but sitting there I think it’s meant to be amusing and get a laugh, the entire song is filled with innuendos and jokes. It makes the moment after when K Howard breaks down (and people finally get what she has been going through) all the more powerful
first theatre compilation video i'm watching since breaking up with my ex. We watched them together allll the time. Don't know why I picked such a sad one HAHA
noooo not I am the One Reprise 😭😭😭 NOOO Timoune 😭😭😭 Daniel WHYyy Lea Salonga as Fantine😍😍😍 The amount of times I’ve cried to She used to be mine😭🤭🤪 I will never not cry at What About Love reprise it gets me every time😭 Sorry i couldn’t decide what to comment so i put it all🤷♀️
Can we pls talk about the “Rooster! Shes just a baby!!” scene from Annie?!!? 😭😭 also can we talk about how absolutely fantastic Annie is now looking back? The original movie... ah.. 😭😭
I did Once on This Island as a preteen in a summer workshop playing a storyteller and it’s now 10 years after I did it and seeing When We Are Wed here it hurts a lot more than now it did back then understanding the scene now that I’m older.
So, fun little story time. I lost my mom to cancer when I was 11. Before she died, she wrote letters to my sister and I. Four years later, my grandmother decided to take my sister and I to go see Billy Elliot. We didn't know what it was about. We got to the letter song, my sister and I looked at each other, and both just started crying. And our oblivious grandma, had no idea why we were crying as hard as we were. Needless to say, it was an awkward ride home
i don't know why but the sobs in the back of of once on this island made me crack up. and like 2 seconds later my mom into my room, I had tears streaming down my face but I was laughing my a$s off. she just backed away slowly and closed the door.
It's been a while since I've seen beetlejuice and I know its a been praised and criticized a ton but "im so scared im going to forget her" is heartbreaking
He was the original Dan in the off Broadway tryout and returned for a brief period after J. Robert Spencer left the Broadway cast. I believe he, Alice and Jen all left at the same time, but I could be mistaken
Damn we starting off with So big/So Small? You aren’t playing and I wasn’t emotionally prepared.
THANK YOU
FR like pls lead up to it i was expecting a gradual emotional breakdown not to be dying immediately ;(
Lucky for me the video after this on autoplay is “musical theater moments to cure depression”. Here’s hoping it will stop the waterfall on my face.
Hahaha my next auto play video was musical theatre moments that make me go feral 🤣
Makes me realize how much I miss live theatre. Witnessing this stuff take place right in front of you... now that’s truly something special.
Fuckkkk 🥺🥺
All you wanna do makes me cry EVERYTIME
I am so glad, I thought I was the only one! Sam absolutely kills it, nails the acting and the singing.
SAME THOUGH EVERY NIGHT I SING IT I NEARLY BREAK INTO TEARS PLEASE HELP ME
SAME. I never clued into how heartbreaking the song was until I saw Sam

She was sick but I agree it is very emotional song
She ran off cause she was ill that day and she was struggling vocally
I’m just wondering why her US wasn’t put in then?

The take the money part of 21 chump street always makes me cry. Actually scratch that, everything Anthony Ramos sings brings tears to my eyes.
I am the one (reprise) kills me everytime, Next to Normal is such an amazing musical
I cry every time I hear it and see the scene, I love next to normal so much
I live the musical so, so much, though it doesn’t get a whole lot of attention. It’s sad, because it really is an amazing, emotional musical. 😭

Allison Luff's She Used to be Mine destroys me EVERY TIME
Same
Honestly all used to be mine gets me
Same! Her emotion is just so real
guess what, i am officially incapable of crying
If you make a part 2 please include Abby Mueller singing Heart Of Stone. That is the only version that makes me cry every single time
Yes, I feel like the West End cast version is lighter then the Chicago cast. Like the Chicago cast really goes for the rip your heart out effect
@@tandfadams5535 Yh but they don't sing it in the right accent :/
