I keep coming back watching your videos over and over. I always see something new. That ruff rock spots in the corners came out so well.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your support of my channel, and very happy to hear you're seeing and maybe learning some new things!
What do you feel has been most helpful with the videos, and is there anything in particular you'd like to see more of?
Thank you again!!!!
Out of all the epoxy vidios you are by far the best cant wait to make my new tops
That's very kind of you to say, thank you so much!
Are you pouring countertops for yourself? I'd love to see your results, and please feel free to reach out if I can be of any help! Keith@kcdcdesigns.com

Very nice!! The Seaside adds just the right accent.
Thank you! And I agree, that seaside goes so well with those colors!

I love it Keith. It seems like you have been doing this technique for a life time. You really are a natural. Thank you for always sharing.
Thank you, Jessica and that's very kind of you to say 😊! I really enjoy sharing and helping others, probably my biggest motivator.
Very Cool Keith

Thank you so much, that was a really fun one to create!
Beautiful
Thank you, Bonnie!
Now THAT's what I'm talking about! That is SO beautiful! I would love to have something in those colors hanging above the sofa or the entertainment center in our new home! Wonderful job sir, just wonderful!
Thank you so much, and as a matter of fact, I do have a wall art piece above my sofa in those exact colors. Looks like a large slab of stone.
Have you seen the tutorial on that one?
It's made out of 1" foam. "Rock Island slab".
@@kcdcdesigns LOL I just emailed you regarding that. I adore this countertop! I remember when you made the foam board hanging.
@@belindagalle97 got it, and replied! Thanks!
Wow! This video was so helpful! Thank you so much for showing all the details! ❤️
You're so welcome, Kim and thank you for your comments!
Beyond Awesome! Great look, but what if you sprayed alcohol on it. What would have changed?
Thank you, Russ! I did in some areas, but I wasn't crazy about the effects, due to the colors I think. Sometimes I feel it fits the design and others not so much. Just depends.
Great job, fellow Nebraskan!!! Eagle is a cool little town, I used to live in Palmyra. I've seen you work with Rhonda, Mitch, & Erika. Now I'm following you too! Gorgeous look and I love that you used bling. I've been using very fine black glitter in small veins to mimic the matrix in granite. Looks really authentic. Happy to see your set up. Nice space. Thanks for sharing your talent with us! 🥰👏👏👏👏
Well hi Sherry, and fellow Nebraskan, how cool is that! Thank you so much for your comment and your kind words, I really appreciate it!

Keith, on the rock edge corners, was the Bondo on top of the level MDF or did you grind those corners down just a little and then build it back up with the Bondo ??? Looks fantastic.
Hi J Van, and yes, I left the Bondo on the top surface of the level MDF as I described in the video. I've learned that even if there's a few peaks (after lightly sanding with 150 or 220 to knock down the sharp points), after the color coat and flood coat the surface is perfectly level. But what's cool, is that the metallics in the color coat will flow down those peaks and create a really cool effect, almost 3-D like.
Is this still durable even if you don’t apply the ultimate top coat? Asking cause certain people may not like the flat look.
Hey Joseph, I have many customer countertops without the Ultimate Top Coat on them as it was not yet available. If applied correctly and best practices are followed, along with applying a clear coat over the color coat, the Stone Coat epoxy finish is very durable. Due to the high gloss, over time you may develop micro-scratches, the same as you would in other surfaces, but with SCC epoxy you can always buff them out. I've seen several I did that are over 3 years old and they're all holding up great, and look as good as they did when installed. The reason I apply UTC to all customer countertops (their choice of Gloss or Natural) is because of the added durability and that they can be installed after 48 hours, opposed to storing them for 30 days until fully cured.
Thanks for your question!
Did you glue 2 3/4 in mdf together to make the counter so thick?
I just added a standard drop-edge (3/4"). I think what makes it look thicker, is when I created the rock-edge on the island, I allow the drop-edge to stick out about 1/4". That way when I shape the rock-edge with the grinder, instead of being a straight 90° edge, it's kind of sloped, giving the appearance of being thicker.
Did that make sense?
@@kcdcdesigns yes. That makes sense. Thank you
I have a dinette set that I am refurbishing that I would love to sell after it is done, but I have no idea what colors to do so that it will sell any suggestions?
Hey, Amey!
Using the same technique I've created some customer countertops using grays and whites which are very neutral, not too bold and could make a nice dinette set. I will see if I can find pics and send them over FB PM.
Thanks for your comment!
