Its crazy because I used to watch 120 min religiously. I'm guessing this is 1992. I was 18 and a senior in highschool. I even remember every single commercial lol. Such a different time. It is so different now it's almost unreal. What a time to be alive.
Dude- you have no idea. I was in high school in 1979 ! Most of the high school didn't even know who the Ramones were !
1992 when he music scene was still a thing. When rock n roll journalism was a thing. Take me back.
GenX teens/20 somethings in early-mid 1990s had great taste
The cultures also skewed additionally older
Having been a tot during the 80s and then hitting middle school and high school throughout the 90s, I can unequivocally say, there was never a better time to experience as a kid. You really had to live it to get it. Was so carefree, seemed like anything was possible, and culture was aflood with amazing music. I wish everyone could spend a time machine weekend being 18=23 in the mid nineties. You'd never wanna come back
@@christophermichael9916 Yep..I was Born 77.
High School 91-95.
Literally "Smells like Teen Spirit" vid dropped first month of my Freshman yr HS
@@jasonpeters9716 78 here
@@jasonpeters9716 And living it in New Orleans during that time... What an experience is all I can say. We always had the most amazing bands coming through.
"Headbanger's Ball" was definitely the best show on MTV... Now it shouldn't even be called MTV 🔥🔥
120Mins>>>
Headbangers Ball got lil better after Nirvana broke.
Helmet/White Zombie/Tool/Deftones appeared on HB.
This was right in front wall of "the eye" of the Music Revolution hurricane, in the Early-mid 1990s.
Fall 92'
oh, i miss the past... Fucking hell, how i miss the 90´s
I just watched this incredible slice of history; for one brief moment -- everything was right in the world.
I felt exactly the same way, such a great time for music.
Man thanx for letting me ride in this time machine tonight! Good fun , great memories - We'll never see the likes of Joey & Lemmy again.
Amazing. Thank you. The personification of my 20s 🤘
RIP Lemmy and Joey
I used to stay up watching and be so sleepy on Monday mornings. I couldn’t always finish the whole episode. I was 12 and saw this one. I knew the Ramones from Pet Sematary, and heard of Lemmy on this episode! I feel emotional already watching the first video. I still love music and go all out to find new stuff and I’m 43 now!
Funny, this is so non Millenial
@@layditms2 I’m not one so
You must be my long lost twin. I would wait till my parents went to sleep, then record on a vhs tape..
@@krillin876 I so wished I could’ve afforded my own blank tapes!!! Lucky!
@@WowJustWow37 I couldn't have afforded those tapes I just taped over somebody else's old stuff
Thank you for posting this! I must have missed this episode back in the day but it's great to be able to see it many, many years later. Joey and Lemmy have such great respect for each other!
constantly homesick for those days
I feel alive listening to this🎉🎉🎉🎉
"Motorhead never let me down." -Joey Ramone
Smh..lol.

F'ing GENIUS!
I was 14yrs old
My mom had Sounds of the 70s: Guitar Power when I was kid, we would crank it in her chevette; it was awesome.
Thank you! I still have this on videotape and I remember staying up late to watch this entire episode on a Sunday night before school no less!
I haven't smiled this much in a long time. Thank you for posting.
Thank you for posting this!
Nice to time travel back to good memories, when mtv actually had music on it....and the commercials had me laughing quietly to myself. Good stuff.

Lemmy and Joey Ramone. That was actually fuxking great!
“We don’t care, do we Joey”.
I was a junior in high school. 18years old or so.

Mike Ness absolutely one of the greatest of all time!!! Social D are such legends
Put a new album out already Ness
Holy shit! I vividly remember watching this because it had the brand new Nirvana video and I was so fucking excited. I was all of 14.
How’s Nirvana doing?

This is a great post. Great archive. Post the rest. The video misses the premieres of the dang good stuff!
A estetica da tv ate a metade dos anos 90 sao senasacionais e a Mtv era referencia nisso
That was underrated moment.
I was 6th grade 1989..Metallica sold multiple million albums without airplay.
Says EVERYTHING bout kids of that era
This is from 92
@@DeathCrustPunk Yeah I know..
Was making point Joey made in this bout "And Justice For All" album in 1989
@@jasonpeters9716 oopsy guess I should pay attention
@@DeathCrustPunk OK.
Lol
.idc if u do r not.
Just correcting u
The fans were generally older
Listen to what Joey Ramone said about music sucking in the 70s and then 14:04
I was a huge "alternative" guy in my early 20's (still am) and watched 120 mins but with some exceptions, most of those 70s songs in the commercial and one later sound better to me now than the new stuff that 120 mins was playing.
Wow, how much blow did Mike Ness do before that interview?
What was the world premiere Ministry video??????
45:22 Butt-Head's favorite commercial, he recites this one on the toilet huh-huh
15:25, RIP.
I WAS 15yrs old...
The Culture was older
@@layditms2 Teens in early-mid 1990s are reason there was a Alternative Music Revolution.
I went High School fr 1991-95..
Was 14yrs old..Fresh yr September 1991. Saw "smells like teen spirit" vid after school.
Changed mine & I'm sure many teenagers lives then.
There had been an alternative Music product since mid 1970s!
Lol..but yet doesn't explode till 1991?
😒 🤔 😒 🤔?
Cuz 95% of teens & 20 somethings fr 1975-1989 didn't have good tastes.
GenX teens were done with the crap on radio. Majority of the shit on MTV around 1990...
We brought mainstream T0 THE underground.
REM, Depeche Mode, Husker Du, The Replacements, Pixies, Stone Roses, Janes Addiction, Joy Division, New Order & many more great bands fr 70s & 80s sold more albums in early-mid 1990s than b4...
My 13th. Birthday!
Wtf? How are you going to have Merch in the thumbnail but not the video? Come on, man.
Natalie Merchant the most beautiful woman.....
Not it
too much advertisings
I still hate nirvana. Mudhoney or TAD was better. I was waste deep in Florida and Swedish DeathMetal at this time. I was that Deathrashin maniac!
Nirvana blew
I really loathe Joey Ramone, he's just awful.
