On the vtx your screws should go from the top down because the nuts you get are plastic and your vtx get very hot at times so place the nuts at the bottom of the carbon plate, just switch the way he is doing it, and i know this because i melted the nuts by having then on top.

Need to trough all the screws anyway as the ones for the camera dropped off. Felt a bit off when the camera was just flat and was blinded by the LEDs suddenly..

Cool 😊. Really noticed how much the LED light helps when flying in Really dark places so they work nice together.

In total darkness, does it work as night vision? I didn't find the infrared. I'm thinking about purchasing to locate animals at night to make hunting easier.

Actual Total darkness then it doesn't work. You need some light, like moonlight or some Light from the Drone but just a little light does make a difference.
There are like IR spotlights for example.
Should also check your local laws on if you can use a drone for hunting. Here it's not allowed for example.
If you just want night vision then there are better options for hunting.
