  • Airframe Components staff spent a week recently with a team of three from Blanik, located in Prague in the Czech Republic, learning about their L13 Glider Modification Program. One engineer and two technicians tutored Airframe staff on how to fix a wing problem.
In this first video, Roy and the Blanik engineer talk about the project: learning to talk with language barriers, sharing the language of wing repair, and the good results, plus Indiana home cooking.
Blanik's glider fleet has been grounded for 10 years until modifications can be made.
Airframe Components will now be the second in the world (the only one outside of the factory) to make these repairs thanks to this teamwork!
Watch the second video in this series and learn more about the process developed by the Airframe and Czech team.
Thanks to Jim Sprandel who let us use his group photo of the Airframe and Blanik teams who worked successfully in just a week, to fix the wing problem, and allow the glider fleet to take flight again with competent repairs.
