Not only was the music such an eargasm but it also made the whole story click. Raiden obviously mourns her friends and to ensure nothing like that will ever repeat she doesn't allow time to affect her nation. Hence her resolve for eternity.

This piece has such masterful storytelling behind it, even without the visuals.
0:40 the way the rest of the orchestra attempts to swell only to vanish, leaving a single lonely note behind. Beautiful. That moment alone really moved me. Then it proceeds to fully swell, but into a climax of dark tones and clashing percussion, as if the music failed to achieve a happy ending and turned to the darkness instead.
Yeah, it was anticlimactic in the saddest way possible, and then that transition into the actual climax. No words. Just...wow.
This teaser shocked me so much. Because I literally went through the same shit as Baal did, but, LITERALLY THE SAME. Losing friends, losing myself and then closing myself to everything and everyone, and started to do what I had to do without listening to my emotions, only to my head. I understand she wants her people to be in a state of neverending peace because she's afraid of change. She went through many changes and it was too much for her so she wants to protect her people from the pain that change brings. Ugh, I love her so much. She's literally me. And I love her and I know she's gonna get her respite at last with our help (the travelers).
I went through very similar things with losing friends as well

I thought Qiqi’s backstory is the only thing that made me cry in Genshin, turns out this teaser will do the same as well. Mhy doesn’t fail us to make us cry over fictional characters.
if you diving deep into the characters lore from the NPCs, artefacts, weapons, even many other clues you'll know they're not as shallow as you think they are T_T
Genshin lore is very rich. I like Zhongli lore most with guizhong 😢

Raiden's backstory was pretty sad, Imagine losing a lot of friends and even the one you are close with is gone too. I now understand her, but I have never slandered her. So that is why when Traveler saved Thoma she was sad and she calmed down, maybe that reminded her of her friends who she lost along her way as an archon.

I was gonna pull for Raiden Shogun anyways. But when I came to know that the JP VA voiced for Charlotte Pudding in One Piece, I knew I am gonna all in for this banner. Interesting characters this VA has voiced. The first time I watched this teaser, I was tearful. My heart was racing. This is just, too good. If the teaser this good, I can't even imagine how good good the actual trailer is gonna be for Raiden Shogun.

Honestly keep thinking about the snippets between each friend passing away
And the transition of her trying to get a grasp of what I believe is her ideal self in a future she wishes, before transitioning into who she is today honestly gives me goosebumps. Time really changes a person.
I theorise that the first friend to pass died fighting the serpent with her or was killed by the serpent before he was prepared to fight ( I don't believe so due to the bird mask on his head - but there's the slim chance he was the serpent and she fought and defeated him. But I believe he was an ancestor of Kujou Sara, and that that's the reason Baal adopted her)
The second one went mad (it was the look in her eyes that made me believe so, maybe like some of the fallen Yaksha) or she had a severe argument with Baal triggering a fight to the death
And the third one. I can't remember, but I'm assuming that was the previous fox god that was constantly referred to in the story line and in the world quests.
I can't remember if she died in a war or something like that. But it seemed to look like Baal was leading the Kitsune's subjects (maybe against her? Or on her behalf after the Kitsune had fallen?)

Maybe after killing the serpent there's also the possibility that that triggered the chain of events afterwards?
Just like how after killing the evil gods with the adepti, Miasma flowed into the earth - the gods anger mutating things and seeping into each Yaksha as karmic debt.
Which could've been what happened to the second friend who had possibly gone mad after the serpent was killed. The anger and want for revenge tainting her even after it's death
Though to be honest I believe it to be more of the idea of as time goes on and as long different variables in life exist, there will always be a threat to the ideal life of her living a happy life with friends. It doesn't have to be a chain reaction of one event being the cause of it all, instead it's the fault of time, something forever constant, yet as you go down the line, ever changing.
So these events may not be linked, to further prove the point of "as long as there are exceptions, variables, irregularities, there will be a threat to the happy dream of an ideal life I want"
"Exceptions, the enemy of Eternity" it was Baal who did say that to Aether, after all.
the tengu warrior is sasayuri, he died in the battle during the war with orobashi

The oni girl was corrupted in the cataclysm, thats why she went mad and fought Baal. There are videos talking about theese characters, i recomend you to watch it
I think, rather than trying to get a grasp of her ideal future self, Baal was trying to grasp the shadow of her past self.
As for the fox maiden, that's Kitsune Saiguu. She died while fighting to protect Narukami Island --- Kazari (NPC from the world quest 'Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual') inherited her memories ^^

I like how the instrument playing the melody changes right after the Raiden Shogun's image of her past self disappears. Really hammers home how much she's changed over the years and how she's no longer the same benevolent god the people of Inazuma used to know.
I love when the song goes from sad hero to villan music.
I hear this more and more and it gives me even more motivation to get her...My ambition...

This melody, the leitmotif present in this song, is just the general theme of Inazuma. A country focused on the concept of eternity, despite embodying the fleeting nature of lightning. Tragic, yet powerful, the leitmotif forces itself upon the story several times during your travels in Inazuma and is ever present in Inazuma city where it is a staple of the soundtracks repeatedly picked whilst questing there. Like Liyue has Ganyu's theme as it's "Main theme", this embodies the serenity and power of Inazuma in a way unchallenged by the remainder of the tracks presented in the latest batch of songs. Completely mesmerizing and deeply evocative of noble purpose mixed with morally grey ambiguity, this track embodies the stagnant state of Inazuma. I fell in love with it as soon as I heard it.
The beginning doesnt hit the same with out the glitching effect and the laughter at the beginning, that said, Holy fricking hell this an amazing mix, Mad props dude. You nearly captured it perfectly especially the beginning, you can feel the emotion and lonliness as it builds up stops and then turns for an amazing direction. Thanks for remaking this.

Miyuki Sawashiro voiced Kirari from Kakegurui, one of my favourite characters due to her complexity and grey morality, similar to Raiden. Second I found out they had the same seiyuu I knew I was going to pull for her. (Also I’m a lesbian and she’s pretty and sad I just can’t resist)
