For the people who doesn't have "DejaVu Sans" option for the font change:
It seems that the option doesn't exist in some regions. In that case, simply create the folders as same as I show and it will work without need to activate any option, just restart the game!

@@ErchivitARecon Sí, también se puede en Steam. Es exactamente igual que en la otra versión, simplemente creas las carpetas en el directorio del BDO.
Asegurate de que el .ttf se llama pearl exclusivamente y que tienes la opción DejavuSans activada.
.ttf es la extensión, si tienes activada la opción de no ver extensiones de archivos, entonces se llamaría peral.ttf.ttf. Es un fallo tontito pero que a bastante gente le ha pasado. Asegurate de eso ^^

I just want to give this game some color! The game looks very dead like, grass is grey, sky dark, everything looks like it has a speia effect, thats why i cant play it.

I don't usually comment on BDO related videos, but I have to commend this one, as I found it incredibly informative and well presented.
My BDO looks a lot better and is less cluttered, but more importantly, I actually gained some FPS by picking up some advices from this video.

For those looking to switch the font after the crossplay/merge between SEA and Thai servers, here's what you need to do.
Convert the font from .ttf to .otf, and the name of the font must now be th_pearl. Same folder as before.

Good video; I've done something very similar with reducing contrast and gamma. After that, I used lightroom.fx shader from reshade to reduce the blacks curve, shadows curve, highlights curve, and whites curve. This restores a crisp appearance to the image without introducing any peaking blacks/whites, and makes the sun less harsh. To fix jaggedness without blurring the image, I use injected SMAA instead of FXAA or TAA. To fix sharpening issue, I turned off the game's sharpening in user config files and injected contrast adaptive sharpening after AA is applied. Every monitor will require different settings for contrast/gamma/blacks curve/shadows curve/highlights curve/whites curve.
Reshade is definitely a good addition. I use it as well but I didn't wanted to include it on the video just in case ^^'

Works the same for every game, you don't need a tutorial specifically for bdo. Just make sure you tick DXD9 at the start of the installation.@@Romeq07

How to fix the resolution,it always goes to 1280x720 everytime i launch even if i close it properly. Then when i check on PA launcher it doesnt show resolution for game so what do i do??
Cool/quirk idea is if you overlap your BSR icon and your PVP icon and turn on PVP your BSR gauge looks like its on fire

You can use Fidelity option in Ultra Quality. It will look more sharpneed, but playable and you get used :)
I was very confused with the AA methods this game has, whichever i chose, it looked blurry. You confirmed it for me, and the gamma changes.. holy shit the game looks like we're on the sun by default.... Thank you so much for this guide

Any chance you may do a “recording gameplay” tips? Software you use and settings? Every time I record with any of the different software it comes out so bad. Like I’m recording at 30fps even after watching so many OBS/fraps/Nvidia guides
Uhm I don't have any config for that. I just use Nvidia app but by default, literally nothing else ^^'

I agree whit most stuff but the contrast -15 -20 ruins the visuals for me since i use an Oled and it get all grey and blurry whit it.

no si hablas español pero a mi me gusta como se ve default, pero un dia empece a tocar porque me daba tirones mienstras stremeaba con un amigo que me iba contando algunas cosas, despues cuando queria poner devuelta a como estaba nunca mas me quedo default, me gusta porque es mas oscuro, con los demas filtros se ve demasiado clarito y brillante todo, intente darle por defecto a cada uno de las opciones pero jamas me volvio a quedar de ese modo, 0:01, 0:48.
Back attack is the one thing I would not turn off since it's such a huge and important damage multiplier and sometimes don't know if you're hitting the back when you're hitting from the side.
Also, Gamma -50 makes it literally impossible to see anything during nighttime, especially if you don't plan on carrying lanterns on you or your fairy doesn't have the light skill.
Do you know if is possible to save 2 separate graphic settings and load them with the custom save 1 and 2 u have in the main page when u open settings? lets say 1 with remastered ecc. for grinding and one more fps min max for pvp?
We definitely have that option, but I never made it to work... xD
It always loaded me a random preset. Preset that I saved at one moment but that don't get replaced for a new one that I save on custen save 1 or 2 :S
well.. i kind of like this new look except the fact that some things look like void. for example when i sailored to Vell today i noticed that water looks like literal tar.
also when the game itself doesnt have vibrant colors the text is very annoying, since its a really bright white. its so sad we cant tone it down more to grey-ish color.
other than that really nice guide, and i actually like the font! i have my scale at 110% but im on an ultrawide so even with 110 the letters are still like 3/4 of the size of letters on youtube, so it actually helps me.

is it possible to fix the pop in of grass, shadows and bushes? Aparently the blur hides that pretty well. Never notivced but now it's kinda everywhere

Post the SEA x TH Crossplay update, can anyone still use the font change function? Mine doesn't seems to work, even after replacing the font and restarting the game.

Do you have any tips to improve texture loading? My horse often stops because the texture hasn’t loaded yet, it’s so annoying. I tried everything but the problem remains. In combat everything is fine however…
As far I know, that's due to your disk. If you don't have your game installed in a SSD, you must. If you do, maybe you should do some benchmarks to it in case it is dying or maybe it is fulled of files.
If none of these things are the problem, then honestly I don't know. I only saw people having that problem due to their disk.

playing in TAA adds input lag and speed on horse animation is decreased, playing in FXA especially in pvp FXA is highly recommended for better hit register and response time, your video is useful but to me I would do these settings pumping 4k max everything and going questing :)

I can't change the font in game like you, even after creating the folder and putting your font in it, it does not give me option to do that
Some people are having this issue, some regions doesn't have that option it seems. Simply put the font in the right place and restart the game, it will work without need to check that option ^^

You just have to replace the numbers of the folder for the one you have. But this also will change all your inputs and more stuffs that just the Quick slots...

It is the "Item drop log" window. You can activate it in edit UI ^^

I watched the video but didn't see a guide on how to actually download the font and then apply. I see the part where you applied it but how did you get the font from both of the link you provided, especially the original download website? It seems confusing on the site and there are strange confusing steps on the website actually. Someone help T^T
Ok this is actually really bad because I just noticed you actually said " the original download IS DOWN ". I understand I should've read more carefully, but i think it helps to write..." UNFORTUNATELY Original download is down" or "WAIT STOP Original DOwnload is down" because i clicked on that link and damn... i don't wanna say what else happened.. no warning

why are my skills hidden? at 4:26 his skills are on the screen but mine wont show. They are turned on in the edit UI with the eyes open
With "your" skills, I guess you mean you manually put them in the K windows which skill is in which numbers, right? (because the skills aren't there by default).
Otherwise, right now I don't know what can be the problem :s

Unfortunately I can't tell a font like mine but that supports Thai or other kind of characters. I also get these dots sometimes, although it is not an incovenient to me, but for another language can be annoying :/
You can use whatever font you want, you could try to search fonts by yourselfs, there is websites fulled of fonts ^^
why there is no font setting in my account? setting - general setting - quality of life - and i dont see font setting. is there any update recently that change it?

not sure if this has been addressed yet but read the "Hit Effect" description again. It doesnt affect mobs in anyway. When your are attacked, the border of your screen will flash I believe red was it? Even in your example video you can see there is no difference haha. Nice video though gamma contrast tweak made my game look way nicer. Thanks.
The description is odd, I honestly ignore if it does what it says to your character. What do you mention is other option I believe

@@GameruRc I can bring in addition that when you are for example at garmoth, the entire model of garmoth will flash so personally I decided to keep it off. The description is just wonky that is all, the targets model will have a flash effect that indicates you are hitting em, so Gameru is right about that.
