- Just purchased the Vax Compact Power cleaner and wanted to demonstrate how great this is for cleaning carpets as seen in the video. Great for cleaning messy carpets, pet messes household stains and its leaves your carpets smelling fresh and looking like new again.
The Vax 1-1-142472 Compact Power Plus Carpet cleaner is a must if you're looking for clean carpets.

I’ve owned this machine for a few years now and love it! I couldn’t afford the more expensive style and to be honest, living in a flat, I don’t have stairs or a fabric sofa etc. So this basic carpet cleaner does the job. I’ve recently got a puppy so it’s getting used much more regularly! It can be a bit of a faff to unscrew the bottom to give it a good clean but it really depends on your carpet pile, I don’t take it apart after every wash, just when it looks like it needs a good clean. I’ve definitely got my money’s worth out of this and if it ever broke (fingers crossed it doesn’t) but I’d re-buy!
If your in the UK, Astonish machine carpet cleaner is great and a few pounds in Sainsbury’s!
Thank you for your demo. It was fantastic.
Great does what it says. My fur baby was ill, and couldn't make it outside. So i had a lovely mess to clean. This cleaner done the job. 10/10 for me.
It's awesome for this, mine seem to aim for the carper but this machine cleans it perfectly.
Just about to buy one of these. Nice to see the practical use of it, from start to finish though, before buying. Thanks.
You're welcome. Glad the video helped 🙂
Wow wasn't what I said when I emptied my tank for the first time
It cleans ok but is hard to clean the machine after use, as it has to be unscrewed to get to the roller.
Very complicated to clean the roller.
It does say on mine that you should tip the dirty water down the toilet or drain to avoid blocking up your sink. Not a criticism of your review, just an observation 👍
I don’t understand how people can pour that down their sink, mine goes down the loo. That said, on the TV adverts, they pour down the sink 🤢
@@theresastokes7427 I agree, pouring it down the sink is ridiculous. I am surprised that the advertisers have not been pulled up on this bad practice.
Na not taken as a criticism and thanks for commenting. I defo don't put down the sink now just on the review. I can only imagine my partners face if I did lol
@@theresastokes7427 Ye yuk if I did that all the time, just on the review to show the gunk.
Peculiar accent
Any idea how to take the nozzle off. I’m struggling lol ?
Hi Leah. Thanks for the question. I don't think mine has a nozzle on it 🤔
Do you mean the tank?
Lift from bottom front the pull upwards 👍
Where mine meets the red part, it says pull to remove nozzle x
@@ForeverRy-Ro if want a tip mate put a full size brick with a bungee cord on top of the nozzle.
It weighs it down at the front and scrubs and sucks so much better like a more expensive machine. Probably doing damage to mine but works so much better 💯
@@CannondaleF700 ok… thanks for that.
