I can’t imagine what it would be like to spend 8 hours a day, as your job, from age 11 to age 24, with one person, having your body and mind so completely attached to that person, in a way that no one besides a fellow pairs skater can even comprehend, let alone live, loving that person, being married to that person from age 19 to 24, together 24/7-and then losing that other body and mind that had become your other half, literally in a heartbeat. There’s no instruction book for that kind of trauma.
