I had forgotten about this case! i really miss the dark episodes where it truly left you creeped out. Don't remember much about the solution, but i think it was convoluted, taking advantage of the unusual design of the room. Great video!

I would say Shinichi knows how to keep it together so he won't get anemic but he was pretty close in Kogoro's Class Reunion Murder and finally happened in The Tragedy of the Red Woman.
This actually the first Case i managed to identified the coupret before the reveal although i couldn't identify the method.

I just rewatched this case a few months ago, a man hanging so high looks impossible and the hints are creative as well, instead of the hints we get in the recent cases, an overuse of japanese writing system hints.
