    THANK YOU!!!
    I do not come from a hunting background. No father/son knowledge passed. I have learned so much from simply watching your videos that I went ahead and bought your whitetail bow hunting video. I almost feel like I’m cheating through years of “hand-me-down” tips, tricks, and strategies.
    I now have a basis to build off. And self reliant knowledge to pass to my son and daughters.
    Thank you

      Love hearing this! Glad you are enjoying the content and love that you want to pass it on to your kids. The woods is an amazing place and the knowledge it can teach you goes well beyond hunting. Enjoy it all! And any questions ask!

    Great video; thank you. A rain poncho is always handy, pretty small in terms of storage and it seconds as shelter in the event you get lost and end up staying the night in the woods. I also like to keep a neck gaiter close by. They protect you from, in my case, the Florida sun, they provide additional camouflage without the need for greasy face paint and they help mitigate those pesky gnats you talked about. Anyhow, thank you for sharing!

      Those are great tips! Like the think neck gator idea. The knats suck!

    Very helpful dude, 21 years ago Donald Rumsfeld gave me a backpack... And I really got to explore the room with the cowbell in the South Carolina swamps on Paris Island... at age 34. Now I am going back at age 54 bow hunting for hogs, same March timeframe too. Stoked!!!

    Tennis shoes paired with gaiters were a game changer for me. I actually upgraded to Solomon speed cross 5 and added drain holes. So much better than heavy boots. Unless you don't cross water. Every time I've went, I'd wade though hip high water several times throughout the day.
    No way I'd ever take boots again, let alone waders.

      Yep starting to lean that way myself. Better to be light weight and dry fast rather than soaked and heavy

    Wow, I think you singlehandedly drove up the price of the Lacrosse snake boots, Seriously appreciate this video. My first hunt will be this year. in TX.

      Snake boots are vital down here and in most of Texas as well

    Check out Hill People Gear. I’ve hunted pigs for a long time and I use their prairie belt with a butt pack. It’s nice having it on your hips in the southern heat. Also, I recommend changing out duct tape for electric tape smaller and just as useful (my preference at least). Great video I’ve been watching them all lately. Hopefully you’re still out there getting it!

    We seem to pack pretty much the same stuff. I haven't used OnX yet, but must give it a try soon. A couple of things that I include are a small three legged folding camp stool in case I want to tuck up in some bushes for a rest and a 20K mah power bank to recharge up my phone on those rest breaks. One thing that I've been thinking about adding is a personal locator beacon for an added measure of "safety" when I get off in spots without cell service. That way if I get hit by a big bad mad moccasin and can't make it back to the truck, they'll at least know where my body is. Surely they'll find me before the hogs come eat me up. lol

    If it is gun season in Georgia you have to wear hunter orange, and we don't have tags for hog hunting. Just saying.

    • @SamkoTradBow
      @SamkoTradBow  Před 2 lety +1

      Yep and I can hunt hogs year round there and only have to wear orange during gun season

    • @GeorgiaWoodsmen
      @GeorgiaWoodsmen Před 2 lety +2

      Well you can hunt year round just got to be on private land. Same with baiting you can bait on private land but not on public land. I think that should change.

    • @Georgia4Low
      @Georgia4Low Před 4 měsíci

      @@GeorgiaWoodsmen you can hunt hogs year around on public lands in Georgia but are required to use weapons for what ever game is in season. Example: turkey season would be shotgun or primitive weapons that you have to use for the hog hunt.
