Honestly Angela deserved better. I know they had this whole thing with the school ignoring her, but when someone comes to you like that and asks for help you should listen

Love that they included Orgy's Blue Monday in this scene. Excellent song for a horror scene, especially one that takes place in the late 90's.
If I was back in high school, and if there was a kid like Angela, I would immediately befriend her, help her all the way.

i don't think anyone noticed this but me, but the shots of the younger moms dancing paired with the lighting and exact song parallels to one of the earlier scenes of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

Ok but why are the moms outfits better when they were younger than their daughters are now ? The whole Y2K aesthetic is in right now , the only ones with decent clothes are Faran & Karen. I would also like more variety in hairstyles as well . Just because this version of PLL leans more into horror doesn't mean style has to lack .
I was thinking the same thing. I also feel like season 1 could have been about the moms when they were younger and they introduced the daughters in season 2

I honestly don’t understand how the show takes place in 2022, they’re using phrases in languages from 2022….but the fashion is Y2K. Like I understand that it’s a time lapse into the future “present day” of the daughters, but if they were gonna do like Y2K fashion fully through, they should’ve had the whole vibe of the show be in the early 2000’s, and have the moms when they were teens, Tahoe place in the early 90’s or mid 90’s.

Interesting… there has been a theory that Angela just gave birth to a baby and that’s why she walks in looking so terrible and crying so much and asking everyone for help. And maybe she felt so much pressure that she jumped off. Or she may have been pushed off like Karen was. And there are a lot of similar things between the original show and the original sin one. For one, there have been a lot of twin things going on. Karen and Kelly, Spencer and her Twin and Alison’s babies who I think were twins but I forgot. Thanks for reading all of this!

This scene bugged the hell out of me. The way Angela is just going around saying “Help me” without actually saying what she needs help with. Telling people to look at her for what? Then everyone running around screaming like there’s a mass shooting taking place.
Good that's someone mentioned it whatever vibe writers were trying to create well it was very confusing and not in the best way. They made it look so dramatic for no actual reason.
She’s been bullied all throughout high school. She’s used to being ignored. She is hurt and no one will look at her, they don’t care about her. She’s saying “look at me” to say “acknowledge me, notice me, care about me”

I was kind of annoyed at the fact that it was unrealistic that no one paid attention to her, but the finale explained a bit of how the student body was in an all of it. So it makes this scene a lot more plausible to me rather than just bad acting lol

I saw in the Cast of the series on Wikipedia, there is an actress who plays a Martha, is it the same Martha as in Rosewood, you know the old lady from the doll shop?
It’s not the same Martha who’s the old lady from the doll shop. The Martha from Original Sin is the mother of the twins in the show, Karen and Kelly Beasley.

@@BattDrixLestrange Not exactly. This first scene is about the new Liars’ mothers for they’re a part of this storyline which is why it starts out in 1999 but the whole series is in present day that’s about twenty years after the events of the mothers’ sins.

Watch the full episode. It clearly has a higher budget but they’re deliberately going for that cheaper horror movie look. It kinda works for this version of the show!
