About Westworld:
Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality? In this dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin, a malfunction creates havoc and terror for vacationers at a futuristic adult-themed amusement park for forbidden fantasies. Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins plays Dr. Robert Ford, the brilliant, taciturn and complex creative director, chief programmer and chairman of the board of Westworld, who has an uncompromising creative vision -- and unorthodox methods of achieving it. Four-time Oscar nominee Ed Harris portrays The Man in Black, the distillation of pure villainy into one man. And Emmy Award winner Evan Rachel Wood appears as Dolores Abernathy, the quintessential Western farm girl, who is about to discover that her entire idyllic existence is an elaborately constructed lie. Westworld is inspired by the film of the same name written and directed by Michael Crichton.

"Take my heart when you go."
"Take mine in its place."
Had to go down too much to see this.
Best couple on the show.
#sad
Akecheta is the most badass character of Westworld. He knew everything years before maeve and Dolores.
And he could handle it for 9 years and to prepare, swoly, carefuly...
He still fell for the "paradise" scheme though :'(
Ford accepted his system' failure that's why Akecheta wasn't eradicated like others.
"We only update them when they die."
@Nikolaij Brouiller I think his wisdom contributes a great deal
Came back after the last episode.
"He hasn’t been upgraded in 10 years.” “We only upgrade them when they die.” Akecheta had been looking for his love for 10 years wandering the Park... just think about it.
Who knew they could make such a heartbreaking story with a host we barely saw until now?
And the song gives me goosebumps
@Backstage Bum Zahn is awesome and one of our best!!Love all he does!!
@Backstage Bum Going to waste? "They're" people the same as anyone else, if someone who happens to be native American really wants to be an actor, they'll try hard to be one.
One of the best single-episodes of television in my opinion.
Yea good work
J Arnett Yea but what there saying is that not a lot of shows want Native American actors
"My pain was selfish. Because it was never only mine. For everybody in this place there was someone who mourned their loss. Even if they didn't know why" massive chill, always
Gabe, Thank you for elevating those lines for us - there was so much emotion in that INCREDIBLY painful scene that it was hard to absorb and remember all that Akecheta said and this was PROFOUND!
Song goes so well with Ford's line.. "You been a flower growing in the darkness... perhaps at least i can do is offer some light." Every single second of Ford in show is masterpiece.
I personally think this song is by far my favorite from Ramin Djawadi. This song just oozes emotions of pain, and passion.
you know it's a cover of Nirana's Heart shaped box...?
I'm aware. It's a fantastic cover and it is my favorite so far.
Gorgeous cover of a masterpiece.
Agree 100%!
Thx for the comment because I didn t know it was a cover from Nirvana.
Can't be said more accurate!
masterpiece?? lol You have bad taste if you consider this a masterpiece
Zachary Taylor and who decides what is and what isnt a masterpiece? You?
The admirable feature about Ramin Djawadi's soundtracks is his ability to convert songs like "Nirvana","paint it black" and others to a new creative mix of music, so full of splendor that I've never seen anything like it before.
Ah yes the song “Nirvana” is truly a classic
Just the same as with Paint it Black: He knows how to construct the slow build up and climax and what to focus on from the original. Amazing musics, incredible covers by Djawadi!
Same guy who does Game of Thrones and did Pacific Rim. Absolute master.
Not to mention 'Black Hole Sun' and 'House of the Rising Sun' from Season 1
Always helps to start with amazing music.
"This world" is still my favourite. Been humming that shit for nearly 2 years now
Bicameral mind is my favourite
Every so often, I'm reminded by how much I love Nirvana.
Yeah. Cobain was a master.
@iiachii _ well, he is Justin Bieber now, so... there you go :)
@iiachii _ he wouldve loved this, he didnt like being constantly harassed by paparazzi and being asked to play the same songs constantly. He absolutely loved it when people did their own things with his stuff, like when Weird Al called him to ask to parody Smells Like Teen Spirit, Weird Al has said that Kurt was beyond excited for it. He didnt like being in the spotlight himself but had no issue with his music being as big as it was, just had an issue with his personality getting that same level of recognition
*Akecheta Remembers*
Russ RedCloud wow.
you spelled akicita wrong kola
Pepperidge Farms Remembers
Akecheta Kiksuya
*Akecheta will remember that*
"Are you real?"
"Well if you can't tell, does it matter?"
Yes yes it does matter. Atleast to me it does
@@Risingofthephoenix Why?
@@tubbyrainbow111 because then I'm living in a state of delusions and lies
@@Risingofthephoenix but if you can't even tell if you are why does it matter? Is it really a lie then?
@tubbyrainbow111 Yes. I don't want to live in a delusional fantasy. A lie is a lie. Period. I don't want to live a state of ignorant bliss. Sentient beings of a higher evolutionary level do not live in ignorance and bliss. I can't. I must know the truth. The truth is ultimately what sets you free. I choose to take the "red pill".
Some movies just have that one moment when you hear the music and it feels so amazingly good.
BvS
So true
some TV shows are so good they feel like movies
Westworld and game of thrones has the best music
Awesome song indeed. But by far 'Exit Song (for a film)' and 'Paint it black' covers are his best works to me.
between this and game of thrones this man can do no wrong.
Jessica Rabbit he's the best, I saw the game of thrones concert in Atlanta last march, he so talented but also such and cool nice person it just makes me more happy for him that he's killing the game rn
Don’t forget pacific rim
Omg so cool
When I was watching episode 5 season 2 and realized he was doing cream by Wu Tang Clan, my mind melted
@@ilikeceral3 iron man 1 was also great
"Here we are... A kind that will never know death, and yet we're fighting to live."
THE CHILLS
Did you ever heard something so full of splendor?
The Ghost of Winterfell Doesn't sound like anything to me.
Different vibe but this did it for me....czcams.com/video/jL3X20QP4Ts/video.html
The Ghost of Winterfell *have you illiterate child
yeah, Im sure I heard
No complaints.
Vasari O Hey, wait...
KA- BOOM!!! This song is originally a rock song written by Nirvana. This is simply a rendition of the song. In Heart-Shaped Box by Nirvana, lead singer Kurt Cobain sings "I've got a new complaint!" in the chorus. This commenter has no complaints. Kind of a play on words from the original song. Go check it out!
Some movies just have that one moment when you hear the music and it feels so amazingly good.
Ramin Djawadi made a beautiful cover. No surprises
lyrics of the song are: Hey! Wait! I've got a new complaint
forever in debt to your priceless advice
They used this in last night's episode. Used so well. Without even a word, you could sense his pain, his fear, his worries, his thoughts. And the last note before he sees what he's looking for is haunting. Brilliant show and brilliant rendition of this song
Jim, If you’re still there I couldn’t agree more - this song together with the RAW play of emotions across the actor’s FACE was devastating!
This was probably my favorite episode in the entire series thus far.
The world: "Nirvana covers are often Zero and bad."
Ramin Djawadi: "hold my beer"
"Often zero" That's an odd turn of phrase, what do you mean by that?
Listen to Robert Glasper - Smells Like Teen Spirit (One Mic, One Take Version)
jesus christ. this is one of the most beautiful things ive ever heard.
Rays1118 Kurt Cobain could write some amazing melodies
Agreed ... thanks Kurt
im agree
jesus never had anything to do with it
Same here....goes straight to the heart 🙏🏻
When this played during that scene with Akecheta . . . beautiful
Beautiful.
Yes
THIS was beautiful and brought back feelings I haven't had in years. RIP Kurt. I pray for all those who tragically end their lives and beg anyone who feels this way to please seek help.

“ We each deserve to choose our own fate
Even if that fate is death.”
Listened with headphones on. Longest goosebumps I've ever had.
I my God I have that too
Same when I listen to any of the Westworld covers. Especially codex and motion picture soundtrack
🔥🔥🔥
So glad Ramin has made music for Westworld, else I may never have discovered his amazing music!
his Game Of Thrones theme aint too bad to...
! m.czcams.com/video/w9PXLTLuuSE/video.html
He makes amazing stuff, the themes for GoT, Pacific Rim, Warcraft not to mention the Light of the Seven are just awesome pieces of music.
Gotta butt in here and also give a shout out to his fantastic music on Person of Interest, too! He and Bear McCreary are my two favorite composers currently working, for their fantastic use of recurring themes.
Light of the seven from the penultimate episode of s6 is his best work
I'm not afraid to admit that I shed manly tears multiple times during this episode, and I definitely did when this came on. Just an amazing episode and outstanding work from Djawadi as usual.
ChiefChongo you're not alone
The love and loss between aketceka and his soulmate was well written & portrayed.
Put it this way im a grown man of 45 years and the part of the episode this started to play in the background brought a tear eye
😂You're so cute
The kind of musical art that gives my goosebumps, goosebumps
I feel like the music belongs to it's own genre called "epic"
Batgirl1979 I haven't seen much but that's going to change this year haha
Kurt Cobain is a legend. He wrote epic songs.
Kurt is soooo a legend. I love Smells Like Teen Spirit
I agree with every word you typed.
I actually have a playlist titled "Epic shit" with only this and a Bill Burr skit on it.
This seriously made my day. Perfect song choice for Westworld. Perfect cover. Just perfect.
You live only as long as the last person who remembers you.
- This line will speak to me forever.
I admit, I've never been much of a Nirvana fan. Hearing this piece re imagined in this way makes the song seem elegant and powerful. I like this song so much more. So much more, that now I have a new appreciation for the original piece and pick up the complexities that I didn't realize were there to begin with.
Another masterpiece by Ramin Djawadi
This made the Akecheta scene so intense... love it.
Tonight's episode broke me.
Holy shit William!
Javier was it good?
Oh, it doesn't really matter when you read this comment, it's still true.
When those first few keys hit in episode 8 of season 2, I wanted to cry. What a powerful scene executed so beautifully. I also loved that in that scene, it was wholly a piano cover rather than the accompanying instruments we hear in this version. It was so somber.
*"These Violent Delights, Have Violent Ends."*
Those dislikes don't look like anything to me.
Hahahaha
What dislikes?
Tru Cru Tru
@Backstage Bum Ramin trained under Hans Zimmer...
@@samanthamiller3223 Was a joke.
I can't decide if I'm more excited for the show or the amazing soundtrack that follows
This is literally the very definition of music.
Thank you for being better than average Ramin. World needs you and your gifts.
I need Westworld back in my life. 😭
Instantly recognisable. A perfect fit for the pain Akecheta was feeling when he discovered the store room.
I could listen to this all day ...so beautiful
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
nicknile1 what advice?
Hey!
Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice, your advice
those are lyrics
farouk merouani Those are the lyrics to the song. This is just an instrumental version for Westworld.
I love how the titles for these songs take on a completely new meaning in context with the show.
Loved the use of this song in tonight's episode when akecheta explores the lower facility.
TheAireaidLord Think this is my favorite episode so far as well as favorite song!
Hauntingly beautiful.. Kurt was truly a genius - he is sorely missed.. The way the song evolves from gorgeously melancholic to cinematically epic is amazing. 10/10
I almost cried in that scene... the cover was an extraordinary one
A people that never die yet fight to live
olavo ps there’s beauty in what we are.
"Kind" that would never die and yet we fight to live
The king in the north
Probably the best cover in the history!
I love the fact this is in the same key as the original song. So if you play the original straight after, this sounds like a very long orchestral intro to the song.
Wow. As a fan of both Nirvana and classical music, all I can say is.....Wow. Okay, I'll say one more thing - the power of great music, as always, never ceases to amaze me. Thank you, Ramin.
Intro gave me GOOSEBUMPS!! Anyone else??
Kurt Cobain didn't die. He simply became music.
Such a beautiful thing to say, I can tell you this line would have been his favorite if he was alive today. Best thing someone ever said about Kurt.
Much like luke sky walker or wgatever forgot he became the firce
What a great comment, Mr Lyubomir. Greetings to Bulgaria.
This made my heart fill with warmth. Thank you for so eloquently saying what I've felt but never been able to articulate.
you only live as the last person who remembers you
This song starts out like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel but because of your perseverance and perception the light became the only thing you could see.
The Night King (GoT) and this remind me so much of each other... Ramin is truly the G.O.A.T.!
He learned from the best. Hans Zimmer knows talent when he sees it
Credits due, but modern composers Hans Zimmer and John Powell are better imo.
@@mychairisits6533 I think they're all on one level. Pro level, at that
Ramin Djawadi is a King rlly! He composes masterpieces, see Game of Thrones and now that
What an incredible rendition. WestWorld wouldn't be what it is without one of the best soundtracks out there
Forever in debt to your priceless advice, your advice, you're a vice
Ramin Djawadi you are a god among musical composers!
This is one of the greatest things ever.
Here we are. A kind that will never know death. And yet, we're fighting to live. There is beauty in what we are.
Ramin Djawadi, take a bow. 🙇♂️
At first I was sceptical abt the efficacy of converting a Grunge anthem to an orchestral piece. Now I'm a convert. Westworld just keeps on delivering...
Proof Kurt Cobain knew what he was doing as a songwriter.
people need proof of that?
@jelly72 we sure don't!
right on. IMO he is one of the best songwriters in all of rock. I just wish they would stop putting him into "best guitar player" lists. I wish he would have stuck around longer. I can't help wondering what his next couple albums would have been like. RIP Kurt. his mission wasn't over yet.
jj rusy I underestimated him as a guitar player until other people played his stuff at the HoF induction. (That being said, Nirvana is my favorite band and In Utero is by far my favorite record by anyone. He made it seem easy.)
people 55 or older
Akecheta is now in my top 3 favourit characters in this show
ARZZIO hell yeah. In mine too. He's amazing. Ford is also up there. Who are your other Favorites?
Ford & bernard
All for nothing his character was wasted
Ramin Djawadi always surprises me with his unconventional scores. Great music
How could this possibly exist for three years without me knowing of its existence?
I thought I was the ONLY one! Where have we been Nick??
The choice of this song is so completely inspired. From the connotation of the title, to what most of the main lyrics most people know and remember. Utterly genius, and that's without the re-scoring of the track into this piano/orchestral composition which manages to retain a lot of the somber yet very powerful meaning involved in the song. Simply an amazingly inspired choice & composition. Truly awesome.
Really nice Nirvana homage.
Omg.. I've fallen into goosebump raising love again!
This season, and series, has made us think, but episode 8 made us feel.
S2 E8.? Masterful song and masterful episode. Definitely my favorite of all time. Worth a rewatch.
I preferred season 1 ep 10 but they're all masterpieces. Brilliant show
Man, what perfectly timed music!! Amazing Scene, #ghostnation
So what fragrances would you wear on your visit to Westworld?
(This could be a nice idea for a video.)
Actually not a bad idea, I would probably go with Narciso Rodriguez or Terre d'Hermes
Excellent choices. I feel both those originals and their flankers would be well suited.
I'd also consider: Boucheron Pour Homme (the EDP), Polo Green, Dior Dune, Mont Blanc Presence and ahem....Bvlgari Man In Black
An amazing version of one of my favourite songs ever, love this. This guy is super talented and has done amazing work on Westworld.
take my heart when you go.
Perfect fitting to the scene in Westworld..gave me chills
Violent delights have violent end...
Neeraj Verma there’s only violin delights here
Kit H Exactly :)
So be it ....Much to our amusement....
I wish I was like you, easily amused...
Daniella Rose No harm in being easily amused .....
Akecheta, my man :')
@Backstage Bum check out Zahn Mcclarnon, Billy Wirth, Michael Greyeyes, Jay Tavare, Rick Mora!Vincent McLean, he's gorgeous and one of my favorites!!
Renzo, Akecheta, the PUREST soul in a being presumed NOT to have a Soul - he never lost his PURPOSE and he knew he had a Destiny
I'm 31. This song pulls heartstrings that I can't even describe. "I've been locked into your heart-shaped box... for... all time".
2:46: *"These violent delights have violent ends."*
Some days I think that Ramin might have surpassed his teacher Hans Zimmer... I love Hans, but Ramin has entered THAT stage where you can just recognise it's him, like Thomas Newman and John Williams.
Emanuel Muratovic HBO has really molded him into a legendary composer.
I personally think he has surpassed both. He's also done some great work on Person of Interest and the video game System Shock 2. System Shock 2 is really great since he really goes for the dark and atmospheric.
I'm glad you mentioned Thomas Newman! I totally agree with what you mean.
Emanuel Muratovic you totally got it wrong. These allegorical scenes are including esoterical symbolism. Etymologies of these names names Dolores, Ford, Bernard, MaEve..The "wrong world" allegory, the exit door. This is pure symbology of human evolution. The Maze and Minotaur. You are not in theknowledge of these things. Therefore you just float on the surface.
And Barrington Pheloung who just passed beyond this world and into another FILLED with Music
I don't know you Ramid, but thank you for this version of this legendary song. ❤️
I admire Ramin Djawadi so much I can't express it in words
Ramin Djawadi is a Master in his craft
This song is ridiculously badass!
This is my fav momment of the series overall
This series deserves the best. Almost everything about it awesome. Plot, casting, acting, places and soundtracks. Westworld is brightening the future of humanity.
2:25 onwards gives me chills
My face... melted at that point in the trailer. AGGHHHH!!!
JaShong King lol
0:00 onwards gives me chills

OH
Jeevan Kumar same! LOOOOOOVE!!!!!!!!
This raw emotional piece of music 🎵 combined with such a painful scene.. I couldn’t stop crying.. so painfully beautiful.. that was ONE HELL OF AN EPISODE!!! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Three YEARS on and just listening to this music Instantly recalls every emotion of this incredible scene played to PERFECTION by an incomparable actor!!
Ok, confession time, everybody. How many of the nearly 3 million views are yours individually? I'm gonna claim a few hundred for myself. No exaggeration, and no shame. This arrangement is epic.
I got chills and mad goosebumps when this came on during the scene
Forever in debt to your priceless advice.
One of the most underrated composers out there! His Iron Man soundtrack was superb!
Trevor Williams Although this is amazing, it is a rendition of Heart-Shaped Box by Nirvana. Credit where it's due
Trevor Williams Got season 4 & 6 , Westworld season 1 is some of the best score every composed for TV series
I still believe his work on Pacific Rim is highly underapprecieted.
It still takes a great composer to do a remake justice
Pacific Rim had dem feels. Something epic about the music when the Jaegers appear, gave me spine tingles.
That cello brings so much power to this
Just gives me the chills.
Ramin Djawadi's music should not be released before the episodes because it is basically a spoiler, you can imagine and visualize everything that will happen by just listening to his music.A true genius,
It's exactly how they handle it
A real genius composes his own music. Although, it must be said, Stravinsky sampled some folk stuff for Rite of Spring. And there are plenty of other examples. Not to place Djawadi anywhere near dear Igor. Check out Rite of Spring if you get a chance. The Boulez version will blow you away. Can't wait to watch the show that rises high enough to use THAT as a score.
@Shary Ce he was saying that because this song was originally Nirvana's
Epic as The night King from GOT ! Amazing work
ty
For me, This is better than The Night King. Best of Ramin is Light of the Seven. Whole 9 minutes odd is epic.
Varun m : agree. Light of the Seven is stunning.
season 2 does not get the credit it deserves. It has many emotional moments.
This song has so many levels. When you think it can't get anymore intense, it takes the intensity to another level.
Westworld is too damn good. And this is just amazing.
