Some parallel hybrids use the electric motor only for reverse operation. Is this configuration this way or can it combined with the ICE as well? You mentioned I believe that it contains a cane type fluid pump as well as the electric pump, with heat generated inside the clutch packs, which pump provides cooling? Since ZF's transmitions are used in almost wvery modern BMW I think that this tech is used in all their hybrid cars. I know that it it used in x5 45e (and the newer 50e) and I have to say that it works perfectly, you never notice when it is switching from ICE to EM and vice versa.
