  • Flight tickets for international airlines have witnessed massive price crash.
Infact, There might be an ongoing price war over the highly lucrative London route following the entry of Air Peace.
The entrance of Air Peace Airline into the Lagos- London market is suspected to be the major factor responsible for the crash of foreign airlines tickets in the country.
Recall that Air Peace airline, on February 28, 2024 announced the launch of its Lagos -London route and a Return Economy Class Ticket goes for N1.2m naira while a Return Business Class Ticket sells for N4 million. The airline also slashed the air fare by 15 percent for Nigerians studying in the UK.

Air peace is the reason for this price slash. I think the federal govt should rally around him to help him weather the storm. He acted for nigerians and doing what the government should do. Even if other airlines go for free I think air peace should be patronised

Nigerians must unite to fight off this underpricing tactics of these foreign airlines and Govt should act fast to protect air peace. And for Air peace you can fight back with offering rebates for international travellers to connect local flights to their final destination. The smartest thing air peace can do is to go public in the Nigeria stock exchange. If air peace goes public that will kill off all international conspiracies immediately. Air peace will become Nigeria's equivalent of Emirates. All well meaning Nigerians should join hands to fight this off.

Nigerians should still patronise Airpeace to show support. He's the reason for this price crash! Show appreciation. Then, who knows, Airpeace might be serving your native food on air. ❤

Here is a Nigerian making case and arguing in support of the actions of international airlines, justifying the humongous fees Nigerians were made to pay before Airpeace came on board.
Zero partrotism. They would rather pander to the international airlines than give Allen Onyema and Airpeace the accolades they deserve for driving down the cost of the Lagos-London route.
If it is due the dollar rate that the international airlines reduced their Lagos-London route, why haven't they reduced their prices across all the other routes they fly from Nigeria?

Air Peace PR was a mistake. You dont make noise if you don't have the economy scale. Aeropolotics is a fatal affair.

Unfortunately, that is what competition does. Even other airlines in Nigeria are set to join the route now, so, what do we do to them? The sad part is that our leaders have left that sector for foreign operators to run that business at the expense of the country and its citizens.
